Think we will get rid in the summer can't at present because of Waltons injury . Muric has been a liability since his arrival I'm afraid.

If we are in the Championship he may be ok.

If we stay up, he'll prob need a loan spell somewhere to get some form back and het some value out of him when it comes to selling.

Championship ok? You serious?

Muric’s kamikaze cock-ups will cost us regardless of which division we are in and will gift the opposition goals galore week in week out. His contract should be terminated asap. I am amazed McK took so long to realise that Muric’s lack of a footballing IQ is incorrigible - he has been at seven clubs before us and never nailed on a starting place. Former Forest manager Lamouchi sent him back after just 4 games in the Champ - that’s how bad he is. We gave him more than half a season. Enough is enough.

I don’t want to see him in a Town shirt ever again, even if we are in League One!

Just wondering who would buy him.

£10m.

TEN MILLION POUNDS!

He's so frustrating though. When he plucks those high balls out of the air with ease and confidence he looks every bit the part. Then he does what he does.

I maybe in the minority here. I think there is a really high quality keeper in him, I really do.

Lots of things he gets right and does well.

The two areas I'd like to see him improve on are to build on/ up his more basic shot stopping. He'll save shots he has no right to and then, let one through. I'd rather it was the other way around.

The other is his distribution (and linked with that decision making). He can pick some excellent passes but again, the odd one is a shocker - that's decision making part.

His mistakes won’t have the frequency or impact in the championship as we won’t be constantly on the back foot.

I think championship is perfect for him, build up the confidence and hopefully iron out the errors

agree with this, some really good attributes, but if you keep making ricks then it doesn't matter how good the other bits are.

Yep, I'm serious.

The standard in the Championship is a lot lower than the Prem, as we know very well.

We’re going to have to take a hell of a loss on him, assuming anyone is mug enough to take him.

Suppose he could end up going abroad or he could just sit it out here collecting a massive salary no doubt. Whatever happens we’ve been had big style!

Totally agree.

His confidence has been shattered though, and the crowd doesn't help, which then becomes a vicious circle. It's hard to see him ever becoming a Town favourite now, and he'll move on at some point - but that may eventually turn out to be our loss.

Can't disagree with that - which is why I've said on some of the other threads, it's not worked out and with Walton injured, I can see why getting a keeper in is key and a keeper that will take the No 1 spot.

Muric needs to go back to basics and build and solidify that part of his game. Personally, I hope he stays and can sort himself out.

Exactly. When he is able to act instinctively more often than not he is excellent, However it seems whenever he has time to think about things he invariably makes the wrong choice, possibly due to low confidence or anxiety I am not sure. But there is a consistent pattern with the errors that he is making and for me this is a mindset issue. For his own sake (and ours) I really hope he is working with a sports psychologist to help improve this aspect of his game because as others have suggested, he could be a top goalkeeper if he can.

I still think he's a better keeper than Walton tbh. His command of his 6 yard box aerially is superb. He also makes some fantastic saves, but he needs to cut out the silly mistakes as that's all he'll be remembered for currently. He's got a high ceiling and low floor all within 90 minutes, he needs to find a level of consistency. He also looks like he's about to cry most of the time, he needs to find some confidence from somewhere.

How can you actually say that in the wake of Saturday and his half of a season? This, "he's better than Walton but he makes more mistakes" is mind blowing.

The other rhetoric on here now that, "he'd be better in the Championship"...WHAT?

Give it up lads. You're shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic.

I didn't say that, so if you're going to quote someone you should probably get it right. I said he makes too many mistakes. Walton also makes mistakes but people don't seem to jump down his throat quite the same way. His performance against Brighton was pretty dreadful IMO, their opener was as bad if not worse than Southampton's and he flapped at a number of crosses. Muric's much stronger in that department than Walton.

I see Walton as an OK Championship keeper, no more. I think Muric has a higher ceiling than that but no doubt he's making far too many mistakes.

Really, did you see his horror show in the cup game v Bristol Rovers? If the ball was just a few cm to the left he’d have looked very stupid against a side close to the bottom of League One

the physical essentials haven't changed since his excellent championship promotion, the problems seem to be almost entirely confidence/psyche.

don't see why a club with a good psychologist team couldn't turn him back around

When he has looked dodgy in games I kept telling myself “there’s a keeper there, we saw it at Brighton & Spurs”

Unfortunately he’s gone the wrong way in finding a level of consistency.
