Amazed there's no 35+ category at least by now, suppose we should be grateful they didn't go on sale with the Coventry tickets on Monday.

The next PL away match for sale is Bournemouth so it will be interesting to see what the points categories will be for that.
Crystal Palace (a) tickets on sale tomorrow… Allocation of 2,687. on 18:36 - Feb 5 with 3586 views | DJR | This is worth bearing in mind: I'll be getting ordinary tickets as I don't have Apple/Google Wallet. Any supporters purchasing in Block R will receive a link to download their tickets via email, rather than receiving a physical ticket. Tickets will be sent directly to the owner of the ticket. Once a link is received, the tickets can then be downloaded to Apple/Google Wallets ready for scanning on the day of the game. Supporters purchasing digital tickets are advised to ensure their phones have suitable charge in order to scan tickets on the day of the game. Digital tickets can only be downloaded once to your Apple/Google Wallet, which often use NFC technology and are regularly in operation at major sporting events and concerts. It is not a ticket that can be scanned from a document on a phone or printed at home, as is the case for home fixtures at Portman Road. [Post edited 5 Feb 18:37]

Almost all Premier League clubs have that in place for home tickets and it’s set to be implemented on all away tickets in 2025/26 season.

....if you've bought two tickets on the same transaction? They send you one link with two tickets? Two links? Gonna be chaos at the turnstiles, phones being passed all over the place.

Really not sure how it works, assume each assigned person will get an email, but the tickets are still transferable to others just they have the name of the purchaser on the ticket. I don’t like it. #KeepTicketsPaper

It worked just fine (3 x tickets on 1 phone) in home section for Fulham vs Towen last month.

Scan phone and let somebody without the phone in, do the same again, then scan the last ticket and go in yourself. Should work fine. Only problem I can foresee is where you have scanned a child ticket, let them in, and then your own ticket doesn't work!

Exactly this, having a physical ticket is part of the experience for me, and you have a memento to keep, attach a story to etc. Not quitre the same having an expired digital ticket in a digital wallet! When I take my daughter to a Portman Road match I still get 'real' tickets printed so she has something more than a home-print of a QR code to keep (she doesn't go often). It'll be sad when it's all 100% mandated to be digital.

Nothing to do with Block R being digital and everything to do with them being the worst view.

….labelled as restricted view are a crap view. The ground, particularly the away section, is a total dive to be honest. Obviously people will say it’s a “traditional ground”, but it’s not really fit for purpose now.

Do they still have the tightly packed together wooden seats? - last time I went to Selhurst Park they still had Andy Johnson and co playing for them, I assume there's been some improvement? I quite like their ground, despite it being a dive!

Many that aren't designated RV are (or at least, were) still rubbish too, I've sat in the rows behind the wheelchair spaces before, there was a post blocking the view of one side of the goalposts and you couldn't see the far touchline thanks to the TV gantry hanging beneath the roof. The ticket was not 'restricted view' in any way, hopefully they're a bit more honest about the RV labelling this time round. I assume when they build the new stand on the side opposite the stand where the Visiting section is, they'll move the TV positions to the new stand so they can at least get rid of the gantry.
