Just saw the first goal again..
It's amazing how a professional footballer on alot of money managers to get turned despite oshea telling him to watch the outside as he has the inside turn covered.
Son fakes the inside turn and goes outside and godfrey ignores osheas position and falls for the fake... awful defending. Oshea was right there. Concentrate on taking son outside and deal with it and oshea can do his job if he turns inside.
Also
Godfrey is inside tottenhams half when they have the ball just outside their box. He's higher than our cbs with son 5 yards ahead of him but onside. Godfrey is even a head of philogene.. wtf.
Davis at fault for non marking of johnson for both goals too.
Then the fourth goal... the guys left footed.. here you go jabe a free opportunity to come inside and shoot with your strong foot.. that defensive shape oshea did with godfrey for the first goal.. wasn't even attempted by davis and wolfy. They both tuck inside leaving him space to turn inside onto his strongest foot.

Agreed. His stock must have fallen quite a bit now so at least we probably get to keep him for another Championship campaign. I only hope his massive contract has a relegation clause so his salary falls in line with his performance. | | | |

I don't think Greaves is any better than the rest of the back four options. One reason why I don't like McKenna's obsession with a 4-2-3-1 option which hasn't worked, it feels like, since the Manchester United game. Since then our stronger performances have come with a back three. But for some reason he keeps returning to it. It's all very well saying stick to principles but these principles have led us to a lower points total than Luton. | |
