Borja Sainz was banned for spitting at someone. We have plenty of attacking players already, such as Broadhead and Clarke in his position.
Sargent is injury prone, so would be a risk. We will definitely need a target man to compete with Hirst if Delap goes.

Sargent would be absolutely ideal replacement for Delap to be honest. Injury record is the concern there but might help him sharing the load with Hirst. | |

Sainz has no defensive side to his game at all from what I've seen. And with the attitude, no way would I want him here, not even on a free.
Sargent would be fine as one of three squad #9s in the Championship (and that's still an 'if' for me) but is made of glass. |  |

Sargent will be playing in the Prem next season or moving onto a decent European league. That is if he can keep fit between now and the summer.
Good age, good pedigree and they spent close to £10m for him 4 years ago. He’ll be moving on to bigger places than we’ll be next season.

This season we signed a bucket load of Championship players from clubs that were in the Playoff range last season and we have ended up back in the Championship. Why would we, if serious about promotion, start signing players from a side looking increasingly unlikely to even make the playoffs this season?

If we are going to learn from our PL experience then buying a twiggy, injury-prone striker is probably not the way to go.
