McKenna is fuming ! No more Mr Nice guy 15:54 - Mar 15 with 10238 viewsstiff_talking

We can calm down on this website today as our leader has clearly had enough and he will address it all in the changing room. It’s between the players and him now. As fans we need to support the fallout. But 3-0 at HT and not making tackles is a bridge too far for him.

Perhaps. I think he would get found out tactically. He is too one dimensional tactically and often doesn't make changes to compliment the ebb and flow of the game.

Again, he's still far better than we'll likely have again.

He has done his best with what he has. How much money do you think we had to spend within ffp rules. There is no way we can compete with the teams above us. Ffp does not allow it. Yes we have rich owners, perhaps we should have bought expensive prem quality players and got fine x amount of points next year, like NFFC ?
Ffp is a joke it's to keep the prem league as it is. There is nothing fair about it.

Going down with a whimper. We don't need to worry about losing him, teams will look at underlying stats that are even worse than our league position.

He will be great for us in the Championship so no complaints.

Do you think Sir Bobby's first season in the premier league went well? It did not. Such a big gap now between the top 2 leagues it is close to impossible to compete without spending less than 300mil. in the first year.
We would be foolish to right KM off if he was keen to stay. Sadly, I am sure he will be picked up by a Prem Club soon.

Only has himself to blame. He's sent them out there.

We've seen the trouble davis playing at this level has on us. We continue

We've seen since Chelsea delap has not been anywhere close to it. That continues.

We've seen you need more than flair in the side. We're playing with 3 flairy forwards

We've seen Greaves isn't close to what he appeared to look when he first came in. He still continues.

Be mad. Sure. But you've sent them out there.

Why do you play short drilled balls just inside the NF half when they are most dangerous intercepting those balls and countering. Keep the ball as deep into their half as you can. Hit the channels. Turn them to their own goal. Don't play into their hands.. that's on KM.

So be fuming. But that is his selection.

I know what , let’s pick a team that we all think is the correct one , then send them out against Bournemouth away next game …….see how it goes ?
We as fans haven’t got a clue as to what’s been going on in training , fitness and tactics yet so many on here clearly think they know better ……beggars belief sometimes.

He's not garbage. It's just he's not defensive and he has limitations. Plus when he does play we try to use him like we have the last two seasons which leaves us exposed at this level.

No disrespect mate but if you a supporter the same as me can see your last paragraph why can't a team of professional coaches,
He should of just been asked to become a defender first and foremost to keep us solid like Townsend does,
His positional play is the worst I've seen from a defender so constantly puts Burgess and greaves in trouble, he's a good championship player, il stand by my words garbage at this level,

He's not garbage. He just can't defend, we've not needed him to in the last 2 seasons. Now we are on the back foot every week, his compulsion to go forward is not as useful and his defensive shortcomings are 10 times more obvious.

A very poor defender, Townsend is a much better defender,
Lies at mcks door if he can't see this, no good going forward with gusto only to pass back, then become out of position,
Championships his level

They imo can but have decided that's the way we play so we will continue too.. none of us are the manager so its just words on the forum. But I wouldn't say davis is garbage when he's basically playing the trent alexandra role but without the support around him.

His reputation is in tatters compared to the start of the summer.

No wonder he's pissed off.

"His reputation is in tatters" deserves some attention here.

Which reputation? The one as a great up and coming manager who worked miracles for a club stuck in the Lg 1 doldrums? Because that's still intact.

A reputation as a PL manager? He didn't have one so there was nothing to ruin. He's starting from scratch here, as was the whole team.

No decent club will touch him in the summer which means he will be here next season!

Too stuck in his ways and has no plan B.

Don't be too sure on that, there are plenty of failed managers who have been given lots of offers in the Premiership, and McKenna is far from a busted flush in that respect.

There's always someone willing to gamble

Getting out of L1 (behind Plymouth and a couple of points clear of Sheffwed) with the biggest budget by far in the division was not a miracle. Demolition man had cleared out the dross and recruited several players who became the heart of our success. McK just coached them better than Cook which wasn't difficult. Last year he got lucky took advantage of the Yorkshire lot (who beat us comfortably twice) falling apart again and again and again.
McK is not the biggest factor in the last 4 years, the money from the owners etc. is.
Without the money, McK wouldn't have come.

Veni Vidi Participatur. Now we can get back to competing.

What a load of tosh people spout.
McKenna can only use the players he has at his disposal and he currently has a bunch of championship level players with a couple of lower rate prem players. This season they’ve played well above their station but they’re always going to struggle against established prem teams. Look at any of our players and you would struggle to fit any into any prem side with the exception of Soton & Leics.

You mean the players HE asked for?

You might have some semblance of a point regarding our Lg 1 escape. But putting our Championship performance down to a bit of luck regarding the Leeds implosion is very much downplaying that achievement. Most of us would have been happy with a mid-table finish or at least scraping the playoffs.

You probably are a budgie.
