Fair, but I would say Sereni wasn't the problem - he was actually ok as a keeper, but his attitude was wrong. When he said he wouldn't play at Dagenham that led to Andy Marshall coming - and staying in - and he was genuinely worse than Muric...

I mentioned stubbornness of managers in another post, but Burley's decision to stick with Marshall, a truly crap keeper, was mad.

We beat Sunderland 6-0 and were close to staying up until the final games of the season. Yes, in both seasons we had injuries, but at one point in 2001/02 we'd actually put a run together.

We've had no run, we haven't hammered anyone, and we won't finish within a country mile of 17th.

There really arent any similarities with this.

They literally can't help themselves from spouting misery across the forum, even into threads that are clearly intended to be light hearted.

He was poor for us, an example of why Ips/ Nor players should not cross the divide. But he was solid enough for Norwich.

Ensico is the new Pablo

Pablo could pass to his own team and didn’t make stupid TikTok dance videos

I’d have paid good money to see Pablo in a dance video.

Didn't we have the most points of any relegated PL team at that point? Which made it all the more annoying.

Ironically you would now be surprised if a team fielded a full strength team for a third round FA Cup game against a team from a lower division.

Serini genuinely didn’t expect to play in a cup game as it wasn’t the norm in Italy.

Civelli was years later than the relegation season, like about 8 years?

I'm not sure either of them would have the physicality for the modern top flight to be honest, as good as they were.

Sereni was a fantastic goalkeeper but was also a big problem.

He was very talented, but the defence were used to Wright communicating with them throughout the game rather than calling them useless in Italian from the goal line.

I can't remember, it was a reasonably high total, it would have kept us up this season

In the end, it meant small margins made a big difference for the season
