I am convinced he is only kept on due to his past issues. As a pundit he is terrible. |
Having him there had merit when he was surrounded by the original lot. I don't think many people would say they weren't entertained that dynamic, it was great entertainment.
But it's obviously different now. To be fair it's probably quite difficult for Sky to be cut throat and just ditch someone like him due to his longevity and his issues. |  |

Can’t think of many that don’t drive me nuts however I hit a new low yesterday evening whilst in the car late in the afternoon.
I didn’t want to listen to the rugby on 5 live so against my better judgement I put Talk Sport on hoping that they’d be covering the 5.30pm kickoff. Instead I got two geezers hosting a phone in in which every caller was constantly interrupted with their bantz. Unlistenable and awful. It’s a shock to me that it’s possible to get lower down the evolutionary scale than Sutton and Savage’s pathetic squabbling.
I later learned that one of them was Jason Cundy.
Some of the 5live commentators are just about ok, but the BBC TV coverage of football is dire.
I also note recent radio advertisements for UCL coverage on Amazon. Featuring Alan Shearer as someone kind of enticing feature. You just wouldn’t, surely. |  | | |

Silver medal goes to Lineker. I’ve always loathed him (good player, mind). There he sits with that I’m really witty, clever and interesting expression. No Gary, you are beyond smug and tedious rambling on with your witless mates alluding to your long gone career comfortable on your big fat salary. The only thing watchable about Lineker would be a thorough afternoon’s beating.
And gold medal: Danny Murphy. Decent second rate career, there you sit whistling through your teeth hoping to sound thoughtful and intelligent. Nothing to say, you are a waste of oxygen. For the gold medalist in punditry boredom, life in a very deep cell in Chateau D’If, Count of Monte Cristo style. Brought up from the dungeons once a year for an anniversary whipping.

It's absolutely painful watching him on Soccer Saturday. Can barely string a sentence together.
In fact, Soccer Saturday is a painful experience all round. I often have it on while doing some work on the laptop and the shouts of 'goal' etc as they try and outdo each other is excruciating.
