Feeling good about our situation now 10:16 - Apr 4 with 1835 viewsjasondozzell

This run in suits our 'just focus on the next game' style.

There's no pressure on us at all. Everyone thinks we're gone. We just need to win tomorrow. Looks like KM has predictably kept everyone's standards and motivation high. As you knew he would. We wanted to play and compete and maybe Bournemouth.

Psychological element of tomorrow mustn't be discounted. We can put a bit of pressure back on them.

Momentum is a funny thing.

Yes, it's our last chance but if we do eke out a win tomorrow then suddenly we are in "stranger things have happened" territory and the picture alters a little. Remains a hell of a long shot for us to get out of this but if we can drag it to the last day then anything is possible.

Spoke to a Wolves fan this morning.

Interesting - he doesn't think Cunha will play tomorrow and he sees it as a season defining game. His opinion is - if they loose they're down!

I mean, as positive as I want to be, even with a Town win, it's still a huge ask from us.

They still have Leicester at home which is as good as a banker 3 points plus Spurs at home too.

For us to have any chance we need to win 6 of the last 8 which I just can’t see happening.

Reckon he could be onto something about Cunha not playing tomorrow...

Blimey, I thought our fans were pessimistic

They've won 4 of their last 7. That's as many as we've won all season!

Sounds like a well informed Wolves fan, got the inside track on Cunha.

Not sure how much stock I would put in the opinion of a Wolves fan who doesn't know which games their best player is available for...

Classic pessimistic football fan.

The might see a win by us at Bournemouth and be a bit worried, but that ignores the rest of our season which has seen us win just three other games and generally struggle to put positive results back to back. Our best run in that sense was 4 draws in a row in August/September.

It would be the mother of all turnarounds if we did it. Someone the other day on here was listing teams in PL history who have escaped situations like this in terms of points but (and I am guessing) I reckon those teams were generally of a better standard than we are now and had more wins under their belt across the season.

Wolves shouldn't be worried, but I guess you never know.

We will likely need to get the same points or close to what has taken us 30 games in the next 8 games. I love an optimist but even I struggle with that. I think we realistically need to win 6 of the last 8 (and 1-2 draws) to stand a chance to be honest. Or 5 wins and 3 draws (0 defeats) and even then Wolves would only need 9 points so we're needing them to drop form.

That's a wild shout. Lose and they'll still have plenty enough to finish above us. They're effectively 10 points ahead.

That a hot tip on Cunha!!!

A few of their fans saying it’s a must not lose game over on Twitter, our win the other night has put a bit of doubt in their minds so there’s still a bit of worry amongst them.

And so there should be…!

I want to win more to do back to back wins which we haven't done yet and do the double over a side which we also haven't done, and barring a win at Stamford bridge we won't do this season unless it comes tomorrow.

Also there's a bit of an arbitrary 'pride' thing about going down with a points tally starting in a 3 rather than a 2, so I'd like to see us get there.

There's zero hope of us staying up though, we'd likely need 6 wins from 8 which clearly won't happen. Even that might not be enough.

I'm feeling pretty good too and know we have a shot of winning tomorrow. Wolves have only been made slight favourites which feels fair. Win that game and I'd be very confident about our relegation lol, such is the gap, but it makes the City situation a little more intriguing if we can stamp our authority on 18th place.
