Under 21 Potentials 14:16 - Apr 11 with 2485 viewsMummy_Short_Arms

For those that follow the under 21s, are there any players coming through who might feature in next season’s squad? Remember being quite excited by a young midfielder we signed at the start of the season, most likely due to a fancy highlights reel, but can’t remember his name…

Not a Mummy. Don't have short arms.

Nope not him. Arghh - he was a black guy, defo a midfielder, seem to remember it was a bit of coup getting his signature and he looked the bees knees (on his highlight real).

Somto Boniface has looked really promising since coming in Jan. Left back I believe?

He set a goal up recently that looked decent. I assume he is a good bet if Davis goes, to deputise for Townsend?

That's the guy from the TV programme. Currently an Under 18, rather than an Under 21, according to ITFC's team listings.

I hope he comes good. Seemed a really grounded young man with a sensible mum behind him, on the TV show.

That’s the fella. Looks to have all the attributes of a premier league midfielder and wonder with the drop down whether we’ll see him sooner rather than later?

Can't believe no-one's yet mentioned Gerrard Buabo who came on towards the end of two or three senior games last season before getting a horrible long-term injury. Therefore all the more pleasing to see this news item yesterday, am delighted for the lad, have been watching out for his return -

Just looking at the video...Buabo looks a big lad, but Tommy Taylor looks a real beast. Took that first goal brilliantly. TT has something of the Delap about him in regards to physicality. Skipper as well. Is he someone to look out for?

Got a text saying he was good tonight as it happens. Do you think we will see a blooding of youngsters at West Ham with a view to next season? I don't know if that's a thing any more for clubs, knowing we will be down by then etc.

Doesn't feel like McKenna's style to give them a run out for the sake of it, vs. say the Fridge scenario at City.
