I read "laps of Snowdon" as running around the base of it. That seems far more sensible. Perhaps they sing "She'll be Coming Round the Mountain" too.

A very lovely route, the lakes are pretty. Crib goch was probably the most challenging route I did up there, a few pretty hairy bits on that one.

A very fit 70 year old pal walked me up Cadair Idris (in Snowdonia) several years ago when I was in my mid 60's. Very steep, difficult but worth it - never again!
