No it swerved massively, but in all fairness there's absolutely no way he should be allowed to shoot from there. For me it's more Burgess at fault for being a statue and not closing down the shot rather than the keeper's fault.

We're going to do it fairly to all our goalkeepers, by which measure Muric has made far more ridiculous errors that led directly to goals. Palmer might possibly have had more near misses, but those are not as bad as ridiculous errors leading directly to goals no matter how hard people push the "agenda against Muric" rubbish. It’s not unreasonable to say that Palmer didn’t make a mistake - the ball did swerve a lot, very late on. He was also possibly unsighted initially.
It’s also not unreasonably to suggest that Muric would have been crucified by some had he been in goal for that. Many had it in for him, to the point that almost all goals conceded were ‘Muric’s fault’.

Yeah there have probably been goals Palmer could have done better with, and he had a very near miss with the back pass against Wolves, but he's made nothing like the mistakes that Muric made at terrible times in the game.
Yeah it probably wouldn't have been enough in the end but the timing of his mistakes against Brentford, his head rush at the end against Bournemouth and against Southampton really have burst our bubble when we were looking at fairly positive times.
But yeah it's the fans agenda against Muric which has him top of this table after playing half a season
