I knew that I was referring on this just becoming a thing in the news cycle, I'm keen it's done sooner rather than later.

I don’t suppose we have any say in when it happens, it will be up to him and his advisors as to how quickly it happens.

Definitely don’t want him hanging around for most of the summer like the trophy wife who’s spent the last four months batting her lashes at the rich guys around the corner, while his agent plays one suitor off against the other.

Especially as his transfer fee is non-negotiable for us.

If he’s going to choose Man U, I expect Amorim will want him in quickly so he can bin off that Hoijland lump and try to cobble together something that might get them up to twelfth next season…

Gonna be funny when 75k people starting getting on his back when he

- tries to control/turn and run everytime he gets it
- is up against it so resorts to kicking and running into people
- fails to hold a ball up
- goes for glory without looking around him

That fan base have seen some serious strikers, I think they’ll sniff him out early doors.

He is, but some of the stuff I'm seeing from more than just one person over the last couple of weeks is absolutely bonkers.

Pretty much every striker in the world has those things in their game.

A striker going for glory instead of passing is not uncommon, but he is nowhere near as selfish as some people say he is. It is also hard to hold up the ball, or pointless to hold up the ball when there is nobody within 15 yards of you as has been the case more often than not this season.

Why is he interesting so many clubs and on the verge of the England side if he's a poor as you often post?

He's good and has huge potential - but I'm not seeing him as ready to lead the line in a top Prem team. Whoever he goes to (and I reckon it will be one of the top teams) it will be for his potential

You must miss the many posts where I clearly point out he has the ability to be a top player.

Come on, he's a great player.

Just not as good as O'Shea. Apparently...

It will be for his potential & the fact he’s relatively cheap for a young English player who’s done pretty well in a relegation side. Southampton are apparently asking £100m for Tyler Dibling for instance (lol)

As someone else said, he’s clearly better than Hojland at the moment too, so it’s an instant upgrade for Man U up front.

I do think if Utd had more money about them at the moment they’d prefer Gyokeres etc but looks like Liam’s going to benefit & it’ll be sink or swim for him in the pressure cooker of Old Trafford

I feel like you're getting stick for this but it is right. We accept those things because the times he can win us a game out of nothing outweigh the negatives - we don't have many players that can do that and find it hard to attract many who can. The expectation is different there. Now, he might be different there too playing with service from Fernandes et al... but if he's really jumping straight to a United or Chelsea then he will have to hit the ground running and learn fast because they will not have patience for some of the daft things he currently does.

... I say all of this as a big fan of Delap who has enjoyed watching him in a Town shirt no end. No salt - just the reality of the situation.

Enciso also in Porto for talks. Seems the new lads don't quite embody the qualities which our success was built on.

Going and negotiating before the season has finished is hardly an example of good eggs running towards adversity. See the benefit in it for the club in Delap's case but Enciso??

I imagine it is fairly common place in football.

If you were watching players who have obviously downed tools then maybe that POV would hold more weight. But for all of the areas Enciso has to improve, he absolutely charges around the pitch and has clearly given his all in his time here. Same for Delap. Suggesting they are not "Good Eggs" seems a bit silly imo.
