Europa League 11:10 - May 21 with 1135 views | _clive_baker_ | Ordinarily wouldn't have much interest in it, perhaps if there was a British side I would watch. There's 2 this year although they happen to be 2 of my least favourite clubs in the league, is it possible they both lose? What's the least worst option?
Europa League on 11:18 - May 21 with 1074 views | Blueschev | Like you I'm torn. Never thought I'd ever want Man Utd to win anything, ever. But I cannot stand Spurs fans and their delusional sense of entitlement.
Europa League on 11:23 - May 21 with 1049 views | bluelagos | Hard one innit. To have either United or Spurs in the Champions league seems a joke given how poor they've been this year. I think both managers are rightly on thin ice - so either wins then at least that means another few months of under performance with the same manager for them. In both cases I can see a losing manager getting the boot and the subsequent managerial merry go round could see KM moving on (say to Brentford) Going to be a longish summer again I fear.

Europa League on 11:23 - May 21 with 1049 views | LankHenners | Spurs win, I think. Can't be siding, even a tiny bit, with Man Utd winning anything. Plus it would be a bit funny for Ange to deliver on his 'I always win things in my 2nd year' line having had the season he's had. A sort of inverse Spursy moment.

Europa League on 11:28 - May 21 with 1010 views | davblue | Yanighted for me. The premier league needs a strong United, love them or loath them they are one of the few teams who can compete to certain extent with the financial muscle within the rules of City and Chelsea.

Part of me wants Ange to be able to stick 2 fingers up, feel like he's had a rough time of it albeit they have been crap this season and he's quite moany. I don't have any feelings one way or another on Amorim tbh, I don't like the idea of United saving their season with a EL win and Champions League spot though. Might make Delap to United more likely, although he'll go somewhere regardless, so I'm not too bothered who. Equally a Spurs defeat must = AP out which could unsettle KM. TBH I think Ange is on his way regardless though. I'm torn, just hope its a decent game. [Post edited 21 May 11:42]

Europa League on 11:30 - May 21 with 990 views | Kieran_Knows | I keep saying it, but how lucky are United and Tottenham that the bottom 3 have been so sh!t this season? Can't remember the exact stat, but it was something like in 7 of the last ‘x’ years, they’d both be in scraps. Absolute woeful from both managers. Amorim is lucky he’s new to the job, I don’t see him lasting past Xmas to be honest.

Europa League on 11:37 - May 21 with 938 views | SE1blue | These two are so bad it feels like it has the potential to end 5-5 after extra time. Both managers have been really poor but I’m surprised how little grief the players of these two teams are getting. United seem to choose when they play and Spurs are like strangers most of the time.

There is a scenario whereby, if they are in the Champions League and EBITDA falls below £65m then they have to repay an awful lot of money: "Some of these bonds carry an unconventional covenant, which states that United must maintain rolling 12-month ebitda (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) of at least £65mn to avoid triggering an event of default — at which point its lenders could force the repayment of £725.7mn of borrowings. Unless, that is, United fails to qualify for the Champions League." https://www.ft.com/content/96800939-eaa7-4d9c-b7b8-1c656fa10165 It's unlikely and their EBITDA forecast is more than that but could still be funny. "A source close to United assured FTAV that they consider Champions League qualification to be in the club’s financial interests. "But if the guidance is wildly wrong — and revenues have taken a sufficiently severe knock this season (say, from people not rushing out to buy Hojlund or Onana shirts) to drop beneath £65mn — winning Wednesday’s game might, perversely, prove to be very expensive for United. "In that case, it would do well to stay bad at football."

I’m doing the in play on the game tonight for work. It’s funny because everyone expects a goal fest but I imagine it being so edgy and nervy that both managers are scared to lose and as such it’s a 0-0 or a low scoring poor game.

Despite doing so twice in the league this season I really don't think Spurs are capable of keeping a clean sheet against United tonight. [Post edited 21 May 12:20]

I hate Man U & my daughter's fiancee is a Spurs fan so it's an easy one. And Man U will earn an extra £100m apparently if they are in the CL next season, while Spurs will almost certainly be laughably bad if they win so it's Spurs for me. Doesn't matter too much as it's on TNT so I won;t be watching it.

Interesting. You can also see that both are so poor in attack, as well as defence, that it could be a battle that they equal each other out. I’ll settle for a slapping match between Madison and Fernandez - I can’t see either landing a punch. I think it’ll be the end of the Australian Allardyce tonight though.

Although they have scored 20 more goals this season than Utd, so if they did concede, you'd fancy them to claw it back.

Europa League on 12:22 - May 21 with 726 views | vilanovablue | Statistically the worst European final ever, the combined placing of the sides is 33 which is 10 worse than has ever happened before. Stat nicked from The Guardian. [Post edited 21 May 12:24]

Europa League on 13:14 - May 21 with 628 views | Vaughan8 | Agreed. If both could lose i'd want that option. I've been brought up to hate man utd so thats them. My only reason for Spurs not winning it is Ange's smug face as "he always wins things in his second season" and he'll be all "I told you so". Both have been utter dismal in the league, even before they sacked it off 3 or 4 games ago.
Europa League on 13:27 - May 21 with 599 views | EuanTown | Spurs on pens. Only because I expect it to be 0.0 at both full and extra time. The most unexciting game imaginable despite spurs beating manure 3 times this season.
