I've wanted to see Burnham as leader of the Labour party for the past 10 years, hopefully he will at some point. I think he would be a shrewd choice, he's a labour lifer and he's a very smart guy. Cut his teeth working for Tessa Jowell, and they don't make politicians like her any more.
He's got vast experience across a number of roles - Treasury, Health, Culture & Sport and I do think he has a broad appeal, which ultimately is essential if he's to be elected.
Got a lot of time for his work on Hillsborough as Secretary of Culture & Sport and pushing through the 2nd enquiry. |  | | |
