If we sign guiu to replace delap i'm going to be a bit disappointed 08:41 - Jun 5 with 2842 views | BondiBlue | It's not very fun is it. I'm sure he's a good player but i was hoping for a few weeks of links and whispers and false starts and last minute u-turns before ending up with someone cool with a hard to pronounce name or a great story like the wycombe guy. More football manager and less favours from new chelsea friends please. It would also make me wonder if we even have any scouts. [Post edited 5 Jun 8:41]

If we sign guiu to replace delap i'm going to be a bit disappointed on 08:49 - Jun 5 with 2153 views | pointofblue | I'd be disappointed with Kone. Strikes me as a Hurst like signing - a good player in League One who will be unable to make the step up. Guiu on the other hand... brilliant, as long as his injury issues have been sorted.

Not a lot of love for Kone on here. Not entirely sure I agree. Firstly it should be a good sign that there has been legitimately premier league interest in him. No doubt his form dipped a bit after Bloomfield left and he didn't have a great play off performance. But that was the case for most of Wycombe's team. Prior to that he was absolutely electric and looked like a perfect fit for our system. He will be playing at the top end of the division this season whether it is us or not. He may well even end up at West Ham. Id be happy with it.

If we sign guiu to replace delap i'm going to be a bit disappointed on 09:01 - Jun 5 with 2022 views | Kieran_Knows | Yes, it would be really underwhelming to sign a player who - alongside Lamine Yamal - was 12-18 months ago considered one of the best prospects to come out of La Masia since Messi.

Do you ever stop and consider that maybe not every post is 100% serious?

Delap and AAH out Guiu + 1 in That'll do me.

No issues with Kone for me. Although I wouldn't see him as our main starting striker. I see him more as one for us to develop.

If we sign guiu to replace delap i'm going to be a bit disappointed on 09:13 - Jun 5 with 1856 views | The_Flashing_Smile | Maybe our scouts identified Guiu as a possibility, then when Chelsea's interest in Delap became known we thought, "Ooh, maybe we can use Delap to get Guiu". Also, the amount of quality players Chelsea have stockpiled, it might actually be pretty useful to be friends with them!
| Trust the process. Trust Phil. |

Given all Chelsea had to do was match his release fee, it doesn't really work like that. We have/had 'no' leverage in terms of the Delap sale.

Indeed I do although it's not really that clear with this one, at least this early in the morning and without enough coffee as other replies also show. SB

His form dropped off when Bloomfield left and Dodds came in and changed the system.

You know how outlook now makes you mark every email as 'official' or 'not official' (or whatever the opposite of official is - all my emails have been official since they brought it in)? TWTD needs a serious/not serious tag for posts. Maybe a semi-serious too.

Id expect ideally Hirst will lead the line, but of course there are those injury doubts. I would be fine with Kone leading the line for us though if that was how it transpired. I think he is good enough.

Yep. They became a very safe and dull team to watch. The complete opposite of what would happen in a Mckenna team.

He may become good enough, as I say, happy to sign and develop him but I wouldn't be happy if we was our main striker for the season.
