I’ve been waiting all season for this and thinking it was strange for Levy. Peak Daniel Levy would have sacked him after taking them to fifth. I’m amazed he let Ange drag them down to only one place above the drop, irrespective of the Europa Cup. |  |

Why can't owners not look beyond just the last season? If Levy was in charge at Ipswich or Man Utd Bobby Robson and Alex Ferguson and the like would've been gone after a season or two. [Post edited 6 Jun 21:27]

Not the same thing at all The UEFA cup was played for by teams that finished 2nd, 3rd, 4th (champions league teams now). The cup winners cup was the third of the three and the easiest Euro cup competition to win.
What Chelsea and Spurs won was the equivalent of the Anglo-Italian cup. Worthy, but not the same level at all, however much the suits want to big them up.
