One I've heard is on our list, came through at United with KM and played in his U18 side...just had an outstanding season at Orient....subject to what happens with Axel.

Super player.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?

You've heard? From who? Anyone credible?

Pete O'Rourke by the looks of it.

Poll: Would Lambert have acheived better results than Cook if given the same resources

Always thought he may be one McKenna targets at some point. Could well be a relatively cheap option if we do end up needing 3-4 centre mids this summer.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

Looks decent.

Still think our starting midfield is Morsy + 1 (Cajuste obv favoured) but Galbraith would make an excellent next cab off the rank.

Just intrigued as to why it hinges on Axel's future?

Was playing right back for Orient in play off final.

I thought he was the guy in midfield ?

Who was that then ? Seemed a quality player whoever it was

Edit - no I’ve checked , he was right back and I do remember him now. Looked good too

If we are building for the future Morsy isn’t starting!

Very useful option off the bench, but we need to move on, harsh though that is.

Lovely player, he couldn't really be more different from Axel though, he can run a game from right-back and tucks into midfield really effectively. But we're clearly in for quite a recalibration this summer so not surprised if we're looking.

You can still build for the future without the young players starting every game. In fact you would want the opposite, a gradual integration and passing of the torch.

Rather depends who we sign I would suggest.

If Morsy stays then this season he transitions to a squad player for me.

He’s been terrific for Orient in recent seasons, certainly has the game to play higher than L1 annd he’s hardworking too. Orient will want £2.5m+ for him, certainly worth putting a bid in. He can play in a number of different positions.

Poll: Where are we going to finish?
