If McKenna goes.... 10:19 - Jun 10 with 10528 views | itfcjoe | Just looking at manager markets for Brentford, Leicester and Boro to see who is seen as available and of the right sort of level if McKenna does end up poached. Some names, in no particular order Danny Rohl Michael Carrick Steven Gerrard Sean Dyche Steve Cooper Gary O'Neil Rob Edwards Marti Cifuentes Liam Rosenior Edin Terzic Ralph Hassenhutl Do you think this misses anyone? I could easily totally rule a few of them out for one reason or another, but if going with anyone with a track record [and season so important you'd have to]. not sure who else would be on any list

If McKenna goes.... on 14:11 - Jun 10 by hype313 | From what I've read, given his age at 29, the fans seem to think the club would be willing to listen to offers, he'd command a decent fee and would go a long way in recruiting younger players. |
I guess that would align with their model though. If they can command a decent fee for him and replace him with someone who's 5 years younger but ready now, then that is the model working how it should be. It's always a gamble to sell the key players in attacking areas (as we learnt when we got relegated to L1), but this is where meticulous planning and trusting the process comes in.

If McKenna goes.... on 15:50 - Jun 10 with 1526 views | Broadbent23 | Why all this negative reaction to little Brentford demand for KMc. They only hold 17k , no history and a minor London club. KMc would be mad to take such a jump. Two more years with Town then the world is opened up. His family is happy and the team is behind him. KMc wants eventually a club with the status of Man Utd. If madness happens then the Sheff W manager Danny Rohl.
If McKenna goes.... on 15:56 - Jun 10 with 1484 views | Libero | Carrick & Rosienier are the only names on that inital list offered by Joe that I'd fancy in the dugout. Can anyone explain what it is about Danny Rohl that makes him such an attractive prospect to others? I don't know what I'm missing but I don't see it right now and clearly public consensus is he'd be a good pick. [Post edited 10 Jun 15:58]

Rohl has an excellent coaching pedigree and has done a very good job at Wednesday. When he took over there in our promotion season, they were as good as down. They'd had a disastrous start. He managed to get them out of it and kept them up, and he did it playing pretty decent football. This season he's had them solidly in midtable and even close to the play offs at times. He's done that under a basket case of a chairman who can't even be relied on to pay the players half the time. He talks about the game well and seems a very bright young manager.

Before he took over: 11 games - 3 points - 24th After he took over on 13th Oct 2023 - 35 games - 50 points - 9th in form table Then finished 12th last season. With a crap side at a club that is absolute chaos.

Don't forget the Sir Bobby connection there too. 15 years ago yes. Today, God no.

Yeah Rosenior would be my choice, but just signed a new contract and qualified for Conference league so can't see that happening sadly.. What worries me is Frank thinks very highly of KM, so that might be his parting suggestion for Brentford, hopefully they'll see it as too much of a risk..

Just done some reading- I’d mixed him up with that weapon who was flapping his arms around a lot at West Brom for a bit- cheers for the summary!

I keep seeing more and more premier league class players in that Hull team Rosenior failed to make the play-offs with.

If McKenna goes.... on 13:00 - Jun 10 by portmanking | I think there's quite a difference between Brighton and Brentford, personally. Brighton are definitely a bigger club, with deeper pockets. Their wage bill is circa 50% bigger than Brentford's. In fact, some reports have said Brentford's wage bill was only narrowly bigger than ours this season. |
If that’s the case then that starting 11 they field has been built incredibly.
