Brentford manager still not confirmed so is McK off and MA reluctant to sign players identified already as new manager may not want them?

Are we targeting PL players like last season and PL teams haven’t decided who they want to keep or sell yet and this is delaying transfers?

Are we just incompetent? MA has said they are looking to expand the recruitment dept, maybe we don’t have staff with the right skills and contacts to get the deals over the line especially players in foreign markets?

Absolutely not.

Since Gamechanger20 Ltd took ownership of the club, they've had four summer transfer windows prior to this year and before June 20th in each year, this is the number of players signed:

2021 = 2
2022 = 2
2023 = 0
2024 = 0

It's going to be frustrating but you have to accept that were back in the realms of the championship where we have to wait for bigger fish to do their business before we can get in with ours.
