Good decision on pen.

If that was in the Prem it would get given.

For me too correct decision … the commentary(mine) team disagree.

Once given, didn't think that it would be changed.

Omari shining atm.

VAR dreadful decision again

Extremely funny as it's a decision in our favour!

But a defender actually holding his hands together behind his back expecting a shot, when the shot is hit, he lets his hands go & his arm moves away from his body towards the ball

If that was up the other end, we'd be furious with the ref's original decision (correct) then being overturned

Dreadful VAR again pressuring the ref who'd otherwise made a correct decision in the first place

Even funnier now, since typing, we're 2-0 up!
Football, bloody hell!

His arms are at hius side. Its hit hard from pretty close. Not intentional. Not making his body bigger. Not a foul.

The arm did not move away from the body, defender moved his body but arm stayed static, replay showed it clearly.

Not sure about that! Is your arm not part of your body? If your body moves one way but your arm doesn't, then surely that means your arm is moving away from your body. My arms don't flop around by my side when I run, they tend to follow my body.

Whilst I agree that the correct decision was made in the end under the current rules. I would prefer the rule to change to if it hits your hand/arm then it is automatically a foul. Very much like feet in hockey. I think it would make everything so much easier. The worst football rules for me revolves around the word intent. Get intent out and simplify the game for the refs.

I get your point … I can just imagine though that the players would just spend all match trying to hit arms and hands rather than the goal.

That would be utterly unfair, unecessary and have endless muppets trying to flick balls onto people's arms.

The rule worked fine before they messed with it.

Ref determines whether it is intentional. End.

I like Quansah, shame he’s at Liverpool really. Rather he was playing every week somewhere as England need strength there, we’re well short especially with Stones seemingly unable to get fit.

We do need to stop the staggered penalty runs though.

There used to be a rule against stopping in the run up. It is all but ignored now.

That little backheel was sublime, the more I see of him in this tournament the more it seems he might be too good for the championship. If that £35 million release clause is true I could see someone thinking he's worth it, because he will absolutely shine in the championship next year and for a young English talent you could easily add another 20 million to that price tag at the end of the year, especially if we go up.
