Now watching Wunderhorse, never heard of them, but I think I saw someone on here recommend them. Very good.

Also, are beaten up old Telecasters now cool? Seem to see them a lot.

They had at least four. The less said about their Comfortably Numb cover the better, however.

voice absolutely all over the place

That's just what live rock singing can be like without banks of technology and backing tracks to bolster/correct, like so many newer popular acts are relying on.

Who are you to judge what a women should or shouldn't look like to be allowed to dance a certain way?

Absolutely nothing to do with gender. Would say the same about a man dancing in his pants.

Wtf.

You actually think that 'Now writhing about like a lapdancer. Not quite got the figure for it.' Is an acceptable comment.

You do you then.

Totally baffled now. "Charlie exseeeex" is murmuring through layers of autotune and electronics, to some clearly stolen early 90s rave noise on a backing track.

I get electronic music. I even get pop. But this is a festival headliner with a massively over produced backing track and no actual musical skills on display. Like a big top of the pops shortly before it died. Embarrassing.

Pretty sure I saw Charlie xcx mime

The problem with advancing tech and production tools, is that artists don't have to train their voices anymore. Tech just fixes the bum notes post-recording.

I've had a couple of producers/engineers state-side tell me how nice it was to work with my vocal recordings, because my tuning was more or less spot on.

You almost always find that older stars who perform at Glastonbury do so without much effect at all on the mic, save for some compression and reverb. Because they can.

A little bit of reverb sorts out most minor imperfections, as well as sounding good if not overdone.

Been away at an Airbnb catching up with some mates this weekend, so we had Glastonbury on between doing stuff and sitting around.

Supergrass - really disappointing for me didn’t sound right at all
Pulp - decent
Alanis - surprisingly good, band was excellent, her Sean Connery pronunciation was a little weird
Neil Young - bloody awful and I’m a fan
The script - couldn’t even remember their name recognised one tune, budget Coldplay I guess
1975 - I don’t like them anyway as they’re so bland and dull I didn’t really get what was the appeal

Forgot about Raye who can really sing but the talking between wandering

Fogerty sounded like someone else was doing his voice. Amazing songwriter but not sounding great for me.

Watched one capaldi song. He seems a nice guy and fun but not for me. Sort of a male Adele I guess

I don’t think music is for me anymore.

Fogerty from CCR a decent, especially given he's 80.

CCR had some tunes.

I'm not convinced televising it is great (for a lot of artists).

So much of a live act is about "being present"

That supergrass set felt oddly flat, didn't it?

Check out the wunderhorse set, I reckon that will be your bag.

The problem this year is the absence of a couple of really exciting headlines for me. Appreciate they’ll suit some people and generally speaking there’s been some watchable sets across the last couple of days, but the likes of The 1975 and Neil Young aren’t what I would call exciting headliners.

Think I’d be a bit disappointed with the lineup if I had tickets. Still, the weathers been good and no doubt been an enjoyable few days for those there.

Well today we've got Rod Stewart, yay, and Olivia Rodrigo will close off the main stage whilst The Prodigy do likewise at t'other stage. Like Pulp they first did Glasto 30 years ago, 1995. I recall NME describing the mass exodus from Oasis on the main stage of attendees "in search of a proper show"

Yes. The bit where the microphone is in the air or pointed at the crowd and she’s still singing’ is the clue there.
The whole show was her singing along with her voice.
Not even karaoke.

But I’m sure someone thinks she smashed it.

Edit: Im going to get whooshed aren’t I ?
Sorry

I wish I could see the festivals I went to in the late 80s/early 90s again but with the broadcasting technology of the BBC now. Unfortunately the BBC only started filming bits of it a bit too late into the 90s and they only got into filming the whole thing long after a lot of bands ended and pop took over from rock.

But that’s not what you said is it. It’s ok if you don’t like her vibe or music, but she’s able to express herself and dress however she pleases. Clearly her fans like her as she’s headlining a huge festival and had the biggest album of the summer.

People need to stop dictating the standards for women (even if it was unintentional on your part) and we should call it out.

I wouldn't normally watch Rod, but I will this time just in case he reunites the last standing Faces for a few songs.

Yep not sure if they were just a bit out of whack with each other, the engineer was sloppy or the set was paced oddly. Just didn’t click.

I’ll give them a go later

It would be quite fitting if Banksy's inflatable boat from last years Idles set made a return when Rod sings Sailing.

Rod Stewart may have misread the room, given his recent support for Farage.

"Hoops superfan Rod wants to see a wave of green and white when he belts out his biggest hits from the iconic Pyramid Stage and is asking his fans to wear Celtic FC shirts to help him achieve the dream."

It certainly hasn't gone down well in recent years after he admitted backing Boris Johnson.
