'Rod Stewart has come out in support of Reform UK, urging his followers to give the right-wing party's leader, Nigel Farage, “a chance”.'
By the way, this website owner, Richard Murphy was brought up in Ipswich, so his criticism of the last Face to be asked to join the band must be right...

If Wiki says it, then it must be true.
Despite his political views I refuse to lessen my opinion of Terry Butcher.
'In 2017, Oldfield expressed admiration for Trump and stated he would have been honored to perform at his inauguration. He also voiced support for Brexit and mentioned a desire for a united front between Trump, Putin, and China to combat terrorism. However, Oldfield has also discussed his struggles with mental health...'

It is worrying how much support Farage gets. Do people really value the NHS and public services so little?
It’s worth dying of a curable disease to own the libs innit.
Utterly baffling. Even if you take the policies and politics out of it, if nothing else he’s not someone who’s going to want to put in the work needed as a public servant. He never had been. He only ever turns up to grandstand. I can’t think why you’d want someone like that leading the country (but then we did it with Johnson, so go figure).
The crowd seems *very* muted, but his voice has gone. Having difficulty holding a tune.
Didn't he recently have a pop at Elton for giving up performing live? I mean apart from the fact that poor old Reg is not a well man, and slowly going blind, he knew when the time was up because he couldn't do it anymore.
Oh no, I've just heard the words "We're bringing Mick Hucknall out later." May God have mercy.

Haha. Did that Mick Hucknall comment actually happen?
Can imagine he's exactly who the Glastonbury crowd were hoping for a surprise appearance from.
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

I get the lengends slot. Some of them have been good fun and deserved.
Was Rod Stewart really any good or cool even in his own day though? Hoary old overblown songs. Can't stand him!
Rod Stewart was very good. First of all with Long John Baldry as part of Steampacket who I was fortunate to see at The Baths Hall in the mid 60s , and then with The Faces in the early 70s. After that he rather “sold out”

I only dipped in and out of it, but the performance for me only kicked into life when Ronnie Wood joined him for a Faces song.

Yep, there was a unique timbre to Rod Stewart's voice back then, and the backing he got from Ronnies Lane and Wood, Ian McLaghlan and Kenny Jones was the best a singer of limited range could hope for. It was Lane and Wood who really made the show on the three occasions I saw them in the early seventies though.

He's never beaten this, for me.

The British public are a bit like a large section of the Town fanbase - they are far more interested in the chance of the political equivalent of a lukewarm free lager free beer and well delivered press conference that demonstrates that you 'just get it' rather than actual competence.
