my guess would be it's a jam tomorrow sort of decision. E.g. Besiktas offering more this season, but we might be offering say £30k a week this season, and it doubles if we get promoted. |  |

I’m only guessing, but I suspect we’d be offering some sort of deal that’s reliant on promotion, similar to how last year’s buy clause relied on us staying up. We may also be a bit more stingy with clauses based on knowing his full medical history too. | |
