More concrete.

Whatever happened to 'cast iron'? Is that better, or worse than concrete? Or is that just for guarantees?

Poll: So what do we think will happen with MM and the Aston Villa job?

Presumably you add the iron to the concrete and then it makes it stronger rumour than just concrete?

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Cast iron can be very brittle.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Ah, but there can be many irons in the fire, what's the equivalent? Much concrete in the mixer?

Ah, but if the irons are in the fire, then they are likely being hammered into wrought iron, which is much stronger.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Brighton's transfer market software knows which side its bread is buttered.

I would be more keen to know how much concrete they want for him. Are they looking to build a new stadium? That could be a LOT of concrete. If it is just the base for a new groundsman's hut then that is likely quite cheap.

Is this the Brighton software at work, albeit with questionable bias?

I don't think it would have any benefit to favour Brighton but if it identified him for Brighton it is likely to still use the same algorithms that identified him before he went there. It would suggest that he hasn't got significantly worse on those stats.

I think it might be a bit more nuanced than an algorithm that identifies 'good players'. I suspect helps you to identify good players who you want to play a certain way in a certain system.

Think it's likely we're asking their system to identify different players to the ones they might be looking at themselves (although there might well be some crossover).

More likely that we’ve got a good relationship with them and during a recent chat (possibly about our access to the software) they’ve said “while you’re here, we’ve got a player we don’t want”. Or words to that effect.

I know I'm old now, but he looks like he should be in an episode of Grange Hill

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Quick search of his name on Twitter and fair to say he has impressed in his first pre season game vs Stoke.

Brighton fans raving about him.
