I'm not sure why people are surprised having lost Morsy, Cajuste and Phillips from last season, and only added Matusiwa that we would be in the market for 2 CM's.
Whether we get 1, both or neither remains to be seen, but I wouldn't have thought the progress on 1 would necessarily influence our pursuit of the other. |  | | |

I personally think we need both.
I've never liked the idea of relying on Humphreys to step up and equally starting the season with two CM's that have never played together or with the rest of the team worries me.
I equally think we need some kind of adequate back up for Azor in the deeper midfield role. Unless KM is happy to keep Finn Barbrook for the year. Feels risky. | | | |

That's the thing, they're more than excellent! Could feasibly be looking at having the 3 best CMs in the division, judging by the early impressions of Azor. Very exciting. | | | |
