No happens when it happens or at least no until perhaps last week of window!
This is one of the more weird target processes. How do you get to the stage publicly where club and wage negotiations and agreement are complete but still the player or the agent has tepid feet leading into the eve of the new season. This is working against the player and the new club not setting the player up for the highest chance of success from day 1 leading into the new season. [Post edited 2 Aug 6:22]

Assuming everything has been agreed as reported I would like to think the club would not be waiting until the last week of the window before pulling the plug frankly.
I’m all for any player to be given some time to fully consider a move but we can’t afford for Hackney, in this case, to keep us hanging and then reject it at the last minute. The season proper starts in a week, I’d want a definitive answer by then! |  | | |

My guess is we will hear Monday or Tuesday.
We’re in France atm so we’ve probably said have the weekend to think about it as he wouldn’t be able to join in anyways if he joined yesterday or Thursday as it would of been short notice so gives him to think but I doubt we can afford to wait until end of transfer window as it’s quite a big outlay for one player and we will need to spread that money across different players if he doesn’t join.
I don’t think he stays at boro and by looks of it, his agent has been working overtime this week so I’m guessing we come to a conclusion early next week. | | | |

He only came Thu (we think) Thu to have a proper look at the club and facilities and maybe area where Town would provide initial accommodation etc, give the lad the weekend to think it over.
But saying all that we know he is holding out for a PL club (with game time reassurance?) and maybe he would come to Ipswich over staying at Boro but his agent getting inklings someone may make a move.

Eadt and Phil were letting out snippets and more now it's gone ice cold,
His agents touring him like modern day pro,
If it was done why not announced weird,
And people track a plane but no one actually saw who was on the plane which did land at Stansted,
I think if it was him someone one would have spotted him at PR or the training ground,
It's like a modern day miss marples,
But I'm going to be positive and say it's done,

Didn’t run to us? We’re not exactly a Real Madrid or PSG.
Mosy, Davis and private my a few others wouldn’t have been that keen to join us.
Just got to be patient - the club would know when it’s time to move on but I’d imagine that the offer stays open until he actually says ‘no’. [Post edited 2 Aug 10:08]

He wants to play in premier league, ideally this year. If he comes to us he needs to be certain we will go up. Obviously nothing can ever be certain in football. But possibly if we beat brum and Southampton then he decided to come? They are two of our likely opponents In a promotion race. Might be he is waiting to see if we are real promotion candidates and not a Luton. Some I see a potential it dragging out a few more weeks.
