Hackney has rejected Ipswich on 16:55 - Aug 2 by franz_tyson | You didn't at all answer anything - you just mentioned one aspect of his game which was his turn and drive out of midfield. But when he's broken the lines, he's still got to have that ability to put a inch perfect pass ( like Broady) through or even hit the target. 1 assist, 1 goal. It is actually meaningfull. For a midfielder in his position, he's got to have more to his game. He never controlled a game, I never saw him as an enforcer, as a makeshift defender, someone who could spray 50 yard balls. So what apart from the turn and drive can he do? Or has Matusiwa got to do all his dirty work and running for him. Sorry, not a fan.... but want to be wrong. And I only mentioned Mass and Morsy because in the Championship season they both did a certain job for us week after week and I don't see Cajuste doing that. Morsy/Mass are well into their 30s and their time is up. I'd still take Morsy over Cajuste, though, for this season. [Post edited 2 Aug 16:58]

You want someone who is biting your ankles, I want someone that can release our exciting attackers. There is a reason why we were after Hackey, progressive passes. Cajuste has a lot of technical and passing ability. That’s what you hear midfielders banned around as a number 6 or number 8 postionally. The fact you’ve said Morsy over Cajuste when they basically play completely different roles sums up your logic here I’m afraid. [Post edited 2 Aug 17:06]

Hackney has rejected Ipswich on 16:13 - Aug 2 by baxterbasics | Hope he never gets his big move now. And that he gets booed big time at PR. Then disappears into obscurity. |
That'll help us sign him after promotion next summer.

Hackney has rejected Ipswich on 16:18 - Aug 2 by The_Romford_Blue | Think we would look ultra-tinpot if we boo the bloke for not jointing us. And let’s face it he won’t be playing for Boro by then anyway |
I thought you said he was definitely coming or something?

Hackney has rejected Ipswich on 17:55 - Aug 2 with 858 views | JammyDodgerrr | If he's come down here and then met McK and seen it all and still turned us down...we probably don't want him at any point. Quality player but we move on.

I’d take Massimo of two/three years ago every day of the week over Cajuste. Lovely player. There was an awful lot to his game and was just what we needed in the Championship. He worked well with Morsy and the players in front of him. If Cajuste signs, it will be interesting to see who has more appearances this season. Luongo for Millwall or JC for us?

Hackney has rejected Ipswich on 14:37 - Aug 2 by FrimleyBlue | Formal talks with Luke werhun. Meet and great. Ground and town tour etc. It may all be over. But it may not be as he was only ever scheduled to be down here for the day. There's been no info about anything being agreed other than the boro fee. The only known info after that was that was with the club Thursday. Anything else is guess work. |
Probably spoke to Hutchinson if I had to make a speculative guess who said he was off and is hoping for a move also / eyes bigger than his belly syndrome as he hasn’t done anything to prove him self close to a premier league starter. Bench warmer maybe but beyond that not sure he has the quality. And time will tell. Anthough would place a small bet to say he will still be a Middlesbrough player at start.

I said he’d travelled to isowixh. Which he did. Agreed personal terms. Which he did. Bid was accepted. Which it was. His agent has definitely got him stalling for a prem move and now seemingly he’s going to sit and pray a bigger fish comes in for him

This is why I don't think it's over yet. Thursday there was no medical booked. But he spent the day with us at various places... I still think he'll be back for a medical in the next couple weeks.

Not impossible, especially if Boro have a tough start but when you see headlines saying he “rejected ITFC” it’s probably not going to happen for a few reasons.

Equally could mean we gave him an ultimatum and a date to make a decision by and he told us to do one with every intention of revisiting it if nothing comes up from the Prem between now and the end of the window
