Less than 86 hours to kick off on 10:11 - Aug 5 by Guthrum
I doubt anybody outside his immediate circle knows what Hutchinson really wants. He may not be entirely clear himself, yet.
But an awful lot is being read into him being left out of one pre-season friendly in France.
Yes, the rumours that he was refusing to train were decidedly unhelpful, especially if they didn't have any genuine source whatsoever.
McKenna did say about his head not being in the right place, which does distinguish Omari's situation from, say, Broadhead's, but that could cover a multitude of things. If he refused to play in order to force a move, that is truly disappointing. He's well paid, he's really rather good, and he's a bit of a hero to many of us. But it is precisely because it would be such a huge disappointment that we should be slow to infer it based on basically no information.

As I posted elsewhere, it could equally be because of a very intense couple of years with lots of changes, coupled with an extremely truncated summer break/pre-season work-up (about a third of what he would normally get).
It hardly sounds from McKenna's words that he and Hutchinson are at loggerheads, or that the player is defying the club: 'It’s a challenging situation for everyone. He’s a player that we love and we support and we have empathy with the year that he’s been through and this important moment in his career.'
Be interesting to see if he features against Brum. If he's not in the starting XI or on the bench at least, then I think it's plain to see he's gonna be leaving us.

Exactly, look at Szmodics he ended up coming back into Rovers team and scoring a few only to leave in the end.
If Hutch bags or assists the goals that bring us three points Vs Brum and Southampton before he makes a move then I will cheerily thank him for his service and be satisfied, albeit not as delighted as if he just stays.

while many on here love being sniffy about the likes of Brentford, put yourself in Omari's shoes. If you really want to stay in the PL from a career advancement point of view, would you want to risk that by bring kicked up in the air by a Birmingham full back? Omari has already been associated with Chelsea, Charlton, Arsenal, Spurs & Brentford. If you want loyalty, get a dog.
