was a bit tasty post match for those of us that turned left after the game. They were livid and on the hunt

Always have been. Worse when they have a bit of success, go quiet when they are on the slide.

Their own fans ripped up their own seats when they were in the Prem during a league cup game and threw them onto the pitch, I worked the Saturday game, against Bolton I think? Seats were still being installed 3 hours before kick off, which we all went to photograph. Stewards kept trying to stop us, saying, "thats not news", It was, IIRC, I got an image in one of the Sundays of a guy with a driver bolting in one of the seats.

Agreed. Had one guy charge at me and try to push me over just for daring to walk back to the car. Lots of others giving verbals, as if we gave the penalty! Awful set of supporters, as has been commented by others. Worse than Leeds, and that’s saying something.

Totally agree. They had to get security around Mark Ashton as the abuse he was getting was at risk of going beyond mere words and gestures. Classy, for a Directors area .. (lots of drunk, coked-up white van driver types in hospitality).(nothing against well-behaved, passionate etc white van driver-types, obvs).

Luckily we missed all that but we did have to turn left after the game, walking against that crowd was fun

It’s always been a horrible place to go going back to the 70s. I don’t think they’ve ever come out of the hooligan era and realised that its all a bit Neanderthal tbh

Totally agree. I like their Manager, in the McKenna mould, but refusing to call out those fans, or control the behaviour of his own players, is pretty damning. They are, and have always been, Numbskulls.

Thugs back now they are having some 'success', the assault on Jack Taylor to be conveniently forgotten about, brushed under the carpet. As bad as Milwall and Leeds, agree. Villa's not a nice place either but it was the penalty that turned them into animals, you could see from all angles that he handled it and it was in the pen area. Coins, the mob injustice.

When was the last time you saw a Millwall fan attack a player, out of interest?

A slightly older Birmingham fan asked if I needed directions as I was getting out of the car, he was very friendly but straight away advised me to put another top on “as we don’t like away fans round here”. On the way out I saw several scuffles and punches being thrown, so I gave up trying to go left. Their fans are an absolute bunch of helmets, I hadn’t seen anything like that during an away game in the last 3 years elsewhere.

I also saw two Birmingham supporting children who couldn’t have been more than 6 or 7 years old kicking off at a family of town fans walking past calling them Fing Cs!

At the risk of sounding like a snowflake - second time that’s happened now after the Grealish incident.

Surely that’s grounds for having at least one stand closed or a game behind closed doors?

Constantly being told player welfare is paramount to authorities but that’s twice now some c#nt has had a go at an opposition player.

Was funny seeing a fat brum fan bait a town fan by calling him fat…

Not only fat, but ginger too.

3rd time at least. I can remember one of there fans going after Villa keeper Peter Enckleman and slapping him round the face

I walked from New Street with three City fans through the back streets of Digbeth. Decent chaps. Turned right afterwards and went back the same way alone. Not a problem and had a chat with a couple of City fans on the way. On my own and away from the nutter end but nothing adverse.
Some of their fans were unnecessary in the ground but Digbeth looks like a great place after hours.

Wow. A "ginger" slur. In 2025. It's like being back in a playground in 1983. Grow up.

Not fair to tarnish Millwall fans. They are genuine family fans not those of the 70s. It's a sound place to visit with genuine fans.
If you want arses then head to Wednesday, Brum and Leeds
