I thought it wasn't an unreasonable predication at the time, it was fair to expect that those first games were incredibly tough and unfortunately it seems to have gone the way of last year where we have started as a struggling team and need to snap out of it.
Whilst overall I'm not too stressed, one thing that is beginning to worry me is the sunk cost "fallacy" on show. We have a few very expensive players who aren't performing/the team isn't balanced with them all in it, and there doesn't seem to be a sign that this will change - yet in the past McKenna has been pretty adaptable, and now that seems to have gone. I think the pushing out of Woolfenden is the prime example of this.
Hirst will come good, he's needed to link stuff up but the players around him aren't being incisive/getting into space enough. Once we fix that he'll be great again. | | | |

Agree. On paper we have one of the best squads in the championship, the problem is cohesion or lack of. We have a team at the moment who aren't effective as a unit. Up front especially. We are like the Man Utd of the championship. On paper, a great team but on the pitch doesn't gel. |  |

That's very true and I mentioned that yesterday making a similar point, but even factoring that in, I still think the CMs played well and the forwards didn't. I thought Azor won a lot of 50-50s much to the annoyance of the home crowd. | |
