That’s the thing about stigmatising certain groups - it doesn’t matter if perceptions are true or not, people will just carry on with their prejudices whilst disregarding the truth. Such as the overriding image of people protesting against hotels housing migrants is that of middle-aged white men. It’s not nice is it?
Thankfully such attitudes do not apply to other groups…oh they do. Doh.

But what if one of your black acquaintances (he isn't a friend any more), who also happens to be gay, starts to undermine a business you have put money into ? And then you confide these problems to a black woman who is a third of your age and she goes soft on you. And you have to push her away (because she's a third of your age, but I must stress, in her early twenties) and then you get the sharpest WhatsApp you have ever received in your life ?
How many, as a % were people of colour? A rough estimate will do.
If I cast my mind back 3/4 weeks, the last time I saw it on the news, the 5/6 second clip… of a group of 10 people I saw standing talking there might have been 2/3?
