To be honest I trust the PSV scouts and other European links over a good year in the champ for the likes of Jack Clarke. Really hope it's not us that turn this down. Even if it doesn't work out I like the ambition with this one compared to some of the others. [Post edited 28 Aug 17:00]

The amount of top teams that have been monitoring Egeli (and the fact he's already a full international) gives me hope that not only is he a prospect but also capable of making an impact straight away.
I do hope we don't let this slip by, I do hope KM doesn't regret not acting....

He knows what McAteer can bring now and doesn't know how long it will take Egili to adapt to England and the pace and physicality of the Championship is probably his concern.
However, I am all in on him and my gut feeling is we will regret it big time if we don't. I would rather come up short being aggressive in the European market than playing safe (and maybe not so safe) in the EFL market all the time, especially with the fees we are chucking about. | |

It seems a bit odd to get McAteer in if we were always wanting this chap. That’s about 4-5 right wingers/inside right forwards on the books. Maybe that’s why KM is having a long think - we don’t need Egeli and he would lead to issues finding playing time for the others, although you’d think the potential development and resale opportunity is attractive. | |

I would imagine so, don’t think there is any room for more money to be spent.
Done over £30m, which is a good chunk, plus we are needing to bridge the financial gap dropping back to the Championship.
