I've seen him described in the Spanish press as the most exciting young prospect amongst strikers here. Fàbregas rates him highly and gave him quite a bit of time pre-season despite deciding he had overbooking on attackers and signed Morata on top.
I'm really looking forward to seeing him and providing real competition for Hirst.
From the little I've seen he is a proper goalscorer and a tad feisty. Still quite young and new to English football so expectations need to be tempered a bit but I think McKenna will get the best out of him.

I think there may have been stuff going on behind the scenes that we probably won't know about but reports were he was close to signing for Olympiacos last week and just yesterday for Getafe.
It appears he originally wanted to sign for Valencia when they showed interest but that wasn't going to happen with their messing about and lack of funds and commitment.
Pure speculation on my part but I think the deal was done in reality a couple of weeks back and the delay has been Como backing down on the obligation to buy at the end of the loan. And I believe Azón was holding out for that or he could have been playing Champions League football in Greece or close to home in a crappy Madrid suburb. | | | |

I believe it was reported that his contract with Como has a 10 million buyout clause. No idea how accurate that is but sounds feasible, especially considering what Como paid for Azón in February.
It means if all goes well he could be an Ipswich player in January. If it doesn't or there are complications with his injuries, he's back at Como in June.

Added link that says his buyout clause is 10 million euros when he was expected to be loaned to Valencia.

Why is it always assumed McKenna will get the best out of players? He hasn’t with Clark, SS or Greaves for example...but hopefully he’ll play him in his proper position and just let him get on with it |  | | |
