With teams setting up in low blocks most weeks, Ogbene will be rendered useless.

It hasn't really worked for him here, obviously his injury was a big factor in that. He's pretty 1 dimensional and with the profiles and versatility of others we've got I'm not really sure what value he can add that others can't in that role. We've spent the best part of £30m on 2 players who will leapfrog him overnight, which doesn't bode well for him. I thought it was pretty telling he didn't get on at Preston too.
If we can get what we paid for him or get a juicy loan fee and his wages off the books with a view to selling next summer I think it's one we would do and move on, they won't all work. | | | |

Johnson and Woolfenden will only go if we bring in players to replace them. Same with Humphreys or Taylor.
As indicated, one who could go without further additions (providing we sign Egeli) is Ogbene. Al-Hamidi will probably be deregistered then sold in January, unless someone wants to take a risk on him despite the injury. | |

You're right, he would just qualify as an U21 which would be helpful to make room for Humphreys who would stick around as effectively 5th choice in there and versatile cover potentially at LB or in the 10 if we needed. That would work quite well, and with Taylor out of contract at the end of the season it would make a lot of sense if there's any suitors for him. | | | |
