Why is any hint of being slightly concerned with KMc 17:07 - Aug 30 with 1429 viewsSwailsey

Met with such vitriol? He’s earned the right to fix things, but it’s not unrealistic for people to be unhappy with how we’re doing.

Really strange behaviour from usually quite balanced posters.

Guessing it’s because:
- When he came in, we would all be creaming ourselves at being championship favourites three years later.
- We signed a load of new players this summer and it’ll take a little time to gel.
- We played a year in the premier league where in reality we just were not at the level.
- We’re four games into the season

I remember when he had the best win ratio of any Ipswich manager ever. That must have dropped massively now.

I don't think it is. Lots of people have often discussed tactical decisions or frustration.

But just the same few people who only ever come on to be miserable and shout "sack him now" isn't "hint of slight concern" it's just trolls and total lack of perspective.

Sure. But that doesn’t give him free passes forever. I don’t think it’s unrealistic for people to be concerned how we are playing.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not KMc out, but the shutting down of ANY concerns is strange to me.

Because he's the best coach we've had since Burley and he has delivered amazing things and we are lucky he didn't leave in the summer. It's frustrating where we are now in terms of results but given the players we now have at our disposal, most fans would probably like to sit back and let him get on with it.

People are perfectly free to express concerns. The rest of us are entitled to reply how we see fit. And the down votes are a good indicator of how the majority feel.

It's absurd that he's not given time with his new players. Sure, be upset by a rubbish second half but there was a lot to enjoy especially with Cajuste. We'll be more than ok.

I’ve been regularly downvoted and called things at times for speaking in a fairly calm manner. I agree hyperbole isn’t great.

Not everybody gets as excited at bookies odds as they do at success on the pitch, funnily enough.

We're 20th in the table. And after FIVE games of the season, including losing to Bromley, whose stadium was mainly a fence, we've still not won.

Favourites indeed...

If you mean me, I stand by my comment.

We've rebuilt the squad. We're 4 games in and haven't settled down yet. We've had more turnover than planned.

By all means criticise certain decisions but calling for the manager's head is not a hint of being slightly concerned. It's just stupid.

Truly impaired.

Don't fall into that trap Swailsy, you're better than that. Of course people can be concerned with the start we have had, but the divs that pop up whenever we have a bad result hysterically shrieking for him to be sacked quite rightly are told where to go.

It's their schtick to then claim that people telling them to piss off must be happy with everything this season, which is clearly not true.

Interesting that one of the teams promoted to the PL has already before the end of August won more home games than we managed in a whole season.

Veni Vidi Participatur. Now we can get back to competing.

Can people stop with the rebuilt the squad. We have at the end of the window but most of the games we played it was the same team as last season.

It's clearly okay to have questions, at this stage. It's not right to be calling for his head yet though!

I must admit I am starting to have reservations that he can turn this group around. Confidence just looks lost and has been since last Christmas. Turning around confidence of a team on the floor is a real test for any manager, probably the biggest test for a manager. One which he hasn't really faced before. Yes, people can point to our winter slumps in both promotion seasons, but that was mainly caused by injuries plus a few too many players being below par. To make players believe again after being a punch bag for so long is a massive task though. Hopefully, this draw can instill a little more confidence in ourselves...hopefully!

And is it possible, given last season, that we maybe not quite as confident as we were before we went up to the Prem?

The team is clearly a little bereft of confidence and that affects performance.

So, yes the players (majority) maybe the same but we do have to rebuild, even if mentally.

Just said, we have the feel of a PL hangover team still.

We’ve got the best manager in the league though and back him to do what is needed. He has had all the backing he needs ( and more) from Ashton so is very much on his shoulders to deliver now.

Confident he’ll do it too.

Long way to go for sure. Not a single home league win this Calendar year is clearly not good enough …. Even Southampton and Leicester picked up points at home in the PL - KM lost every game.

Providing we achieve the goal … automatic promotion … all good.

Because it’s pretty much the same people moaning about everything. As well as after every game, they’ve spent the last few weeks moaning about the transfer window and it just gets tiresome. Some couldn’t even wait for the game to finish today before they were on here with the ‘McKenna out’ stuff. When things go well, such as all the signings this week, you don’t hear anything from them.
