Are you proud that Town won the trophies they have won?

If you have children, are you ever proud of anything they do?

Pride can come from a sense of affiliation or belonging. That isn't unusual.


Yes, absolutely. Not so much with Town. I wouldn't say 'proud' is the emotion. I dunno what is, but my children? Yeah, cos I had a part to play in that.

But even so, why do you feel that you can be proud of something you're affiliated with or 'belong' to, but you can't feel the opposite emotion? That seems odd to me.
