But there is a bit too much complaining and Catastrophizing going on. I didn't expect the wholesale changes we have seen at all and do recall some people suspecting it and didn't think it would happen.
But I can't get my head around the complaining and blaming Mark Ashton And McKenna like they have done something awful. They haven't. They are doing what they think is right for the club and actually taking the harder road. It was only a week ago people were complaining that we still needed to sign loads of players. You can't have it both ways. It's a 25 man squad.
Club want to progress and progress fast. We proved the team weren't good enough for the prem so the plan now is to build a team that can get up and stay up (with the right further additions!). Actually it's probably been unhelpful the noise around the old boys and why they aren't playing and we now go again with a new group with really quality. No guarantees and I respect the fact we have taken the hard road but the high potential return road.
We've got a role to play now. Get behind the team, the manager the club and let's get on up the league. If we can get this team going the potential is massive!!

Just curious as to why people can't say what they think if it's deemed negative on here.
Personally, I'd rather vent my frustrations here than against the players on match day, posting what you think doesn't mean you are not a supporter.
Frustrations are fine but it’s gone way beyond that. Saying Ashton and McKenna should go, Hirst is apparently sh1t now? We’ll struggle to make the playoffs? Chappers is our best no 10?
None of these things are frustrations. They’re opinions, and simply having an opinion doesn’t mean it’s true.
Tbf. As long as we start winning soon and have a good season none of this will be spoke of again.
At the moment. Unfortunately the last 12 months etc has been an absolute sht show. And now there's no fan relationship with the majority of the squad. Just players who didn't do much last year and haven't done this season so far.

If you need to you can. But equally I can say my thoughts. I get the emotionally reaction and it's a sad day when some of our heroes move on. But it's for the right reasons (progress) and I don't think these guys are walking away too downbeat. It's a fresh start for them and I am much happier that they go and a play somewhere then sit on our bench/out the squad and get disconnected or worse discontent and then that really would leave a sour taste.
Football moves fast and we were never going to be able to just keep a L1 team who with some quality additions hit the prem. If we want to go up and stay up this season or next then we have to develope the squad. The other option is to keep all those players and probably stay champ period. I'd rather we go for it!

With regards your first paragraph. That's what always annoys me though, people spout absolute negative bile and spin everything to be terrible, with that exact thought in mind. It doesn't matter, no one will remember well all be happy when we're winning.
It's like the ultimate insurance policy to make them feel better. Be really negative and make out everything is going to absolute shoite, and if it turns out to happen I can say I told you so and refer back to it as an absolute Nostradamus, but if it turns out to be bobbins then no one will remember and be too happy to care anyway. Win win.

Its because its usually the same negative sh1t repeated over and over again.
Nobody minds an opinion and I dont think you would find a single fan who's happy with the way its gone, but putting a negative spin on virtually everything that the club does becomes really really tedious
Somebody on X today was actively taking the pi55 out of O'Shea and Greaves by giving them pi55y nicknames. One of our fans !! FfS.

Absolutely you can say your thoughts, no question.
I take your point and like I say let's hope it comes good sooner rather than later.
Some of the crap on here tonight is just UNBELIEVABLE!
I see some great signings full of potential this summer, along with some painful endings, but if McKenna does what he has done before (remember how quick he got things working when he took over with effectively - for him - an entirely new squad) then we'll be a much stronger team than we were last time we started a Championship season, with a much better chance of survival if we go up.

FFS have some courage people.
He took over in December with us in 12th place and finished the season in 11th. He'll have to get things more quick(ly) this season.

We went on an incredible journey with that group of players and manager. We'll never forget that promotion season out of L1, it brought a togetherness at the club. We as fans built a bond with those players, we had drinks with them, we smiled at the videos of their end of season party with Sheeran, they felt like your mates.
Then in the Championship we had a sense of hope as the season started. That sense increased as the season continued and our mates on the field kept winning games. Our mgr kept delivering. As we got towards the end of the season our mates on the field never let us down, we celebrated with them on the pitch. We packed the roads around the Town to cheer them.
Promotion to the Prem stopped that momentum, new players arrived, and all we had was failure. After 2 seasons of success that has taken its toll.
We're now back in the Champ, 4 games in and no win. That team, our mates, have/are being let go. In people's minds, we've replaced them with worse, after all since we broke up that team there has been nothing but failure. In life when things fail we want the cause, our successful mates have left, so the cause is thus McKenna and Ashton.
Yes mistakes have been made, that's life, I still think some of those will come back and cost us, especially if injuries occur. But it is football, as Sir Alex said only one stat counts the team who score the most goals wins. We need to win games, once this new team does then fans will move on, and KM and Ashton will be heroes again
