Why we didn't on 22:16 - Sep 17 with 1877 views | Nutkins_Return | He was and he wasnt. Surely man of the match for the goals but really forest should have been walking away with a comfortable win wasn't actually a comfortable night for Burgess. Unbelievable end for the lad and what a hit!! Underated technically on the ball Burgess. Lacks a bit of pace like Woolfy. Shame couldn't get him to sign but it's just right that he's playing football again and he doesn't get in our team regularly. Happy for him.

Why we didn't on 22:18 - Sep 17 with 1847 views | Everydayblue | Don't even think it was length of contract, tbh.. He wasn't guaranteed a first team start here... And with the Aussie team qualifying for WC26, he probably wanted regular first team game time.. Agree though. He's a real solid player. And I'd like to have seen him stay.

Agreed. He wanted and needed to play. As simple as that.

This is peak level football fan wisdom. Regardless of the fact Forest could have been 5 up and he could have been sent off. He's now by a mile better than our current LCB. Greaves is better now and will get better and better. Can't we just enjoy Sam's goal for what it was. A freak absolute belter!

Why we didn't on 23:08 - Sep 17 with 1332 views | Swansea_Blue | Hutch was pretty quiet. Skinned his man a couple of times (although his full back isn’t blessed with pace) but no end product (edit - apart from the assist lol. Other than that he was quiet). A funny one for Burgess. A lot of wayward passing for a change and got done for pace as you’d expect, but made a goal saving tackle and did the business up top. An entertaining finish. [Post edited 17 Sep 23:32]

I’d argue there’s some truth in it though. There’s no way Greaves has looked worth around 18x the amount Cam was. He had a good season for Hull, but was pretty poor for us last year and cost us directly lots of goals. This year he’s had one good day so far; but I’d swap for Cam in a heartbeat.

Cam reads the game better, has a very underated left foot and a good football brain The shelf is higher for Greaves certainly, let's hope this season really brings him on and the relationship with O'Shea flourishes

I keep hearing that for Greaves (I said it a few times myself at the start) but I’m really yet to see it. Let’s hope it happens soon!

Think last year was a weird one for some of our newer recruits.. They all had big boots to fill, given the double promotion achieved by players they replaced. Most of whom were still in the building and no doubt feeling a bit disgruntled. Can't imagine what the atmosphere must have been like. I'm expecting them all to kick on this season, after the massive clear out.. We've already seen an instantly more confident Phylogene and J.Clarke, since the departures of Broady and Chappers. I'm sure Greaves will find the form that gave him the price tag. And keep on improving. We don't know his ceiling yet.

Not going to get into the staying bit as he's gone now. Very much liked him as a player though. Top for us and thats a great finish for the winner. What a football night to enjoy for the homes fans. Mention of him wanting to be playing regularly and tonight he captained them, which I'm not sure he did with us. So fair play to him.

Compete for the shirt? He was clearly not favoured once Greaves was signed. Ditto for Woolfy and Broady. If I was him I’d want to jump ship also.

I saw nothing of the game, but the goal. But to date I’ve seen nothing to make JG and better player. Just my opinion of course

Why we didn't on 06:52 - Sep 18 with 315 views | Kieran_Knows | I loved the bloke and a terrific defender for us - I actually have him alongside Morsy as the most improved players under McKenna … but let’s have it right, he’s joined Swansea. He went from being linked with Girona and La Liga, to signing for Swansea. Not a disrespect, but as pointed out on here after the window finished, whilst it was incredibly difficult to see a number of our double promotion players leave, they all made backwards moves, rather than upwards.

I think that's ghe thihg we have to keep in mind. I liked Burg and would have been happy for him to stay; in fact I think the club offered him a deal didntbthey? If so itvshows they were happy for him to stay too. In my opinion he'd have been a great squad option, but line is that he choose to go for more career reasons. Cant blame him. Is Grieves better? KM obs thinks that overall he is and I have to respect his judgement. £18m better - jury is out, but that was the Prem premium wasnt it.
