Yep, although am on the hunt for two coach tickets after lift arrangements fell through… we could still drive, but the fuel bill between two works out more expensive than the coach.

Really?

Never know if my car is good on fuel or not but usually get to most places and back on one tank, around £55/60, and did for Blackburn the other year.

Coaches are bloody expensive now.

First away game for me in a long while, finally the stars of ticket availability, lack of family commitments and local-ish away day have aligned.

A full tank will is £60, and I’ll probably do £50 on one leg of the journey.

So for 2 people, that’s £50 each plus parking.

And we’ve got 25% off an away travel of our choosing to use through the membership, so Blackburn on Saturday will be £36.75…. So that’s a saving of £15 / £20 each.

And not putting 500 miles on your clock.

3 of us go away together, we normally drive or part drive for London games. Probably do about 10 this season and take it in turns, driver just pays and generally find it evens itself out over the course of the season. Its not the petrol money I'm bothered about (helps that my car is electric) but the miles. I got stitched up in our promotion season, the way it fell I got Preston and Plymouth about a month apart. Well over 1,000 miles.

Blackburn and I think Leicester will be my 2 turns this side of Christmas.

Sorry I left out the bit about getting there and back on one tank. So my car must be good on fuel!

Have you rang the ticket office about the coach? I see there’s currently one available on coach 1.

Damn voucher used to be 50% off, that was good!

Yep, been refreshing all morning but the website site wouldn’t let me buy two discounted tickets for coach 5.
Rang the Ticket Office, really helpful and sorted it out, so we’ve managed to get two on the same coach.

I never get the ‘putting the miles on the car’ argument, they’re there to be driven no?

I drove to all the away games in the last Championship season except Leicester, Norwich, Birmingham and all the London ones and last season all of them except all the London ones again, Southampton, Brighton and Bournemouth.

Plymouth and Newcastle there and back on the day were probably the worst haha.

Yeah that discount has never worked online, always a pain having to ring up and sort that.

Not sure what one, if any, we’ll do on the coach this season, usually do get one in.

Maybe Millwall to save hassle.

We usually do one or two a season on the coach.

Maybe Swansea will be the next one.

Millwall will easy enough, especially if local trains are running in London.

Edit; if they’re not, I might actually consider the coach for this one as well.

It’ll either be coach or drive to Epping for Millwall especially if the local London trains are running.

My lift arrangements also feel through - does splitting fuel money 3 ways help at all, if you've a spare seat in the car I can take?

They are, and cars don't do well when they're not driven regularly, but mine is on lease and I already exceed the permitted annual mileage without football.

Sorry, we’ve managed to get on a coach now.

Worth keep checking the website for coach returns, it’s how we got ours.

Taking out a mortgage so that WB Junior and I can go by train. Leaving Ipswich on the 0758 via Peterborough and Leeds.

Forest are at Burnley so might bump into a few of them at Leeds Station.
