I think Kmac has committed to a big fee and is pretty much stuck with trying to make him develop. Greaves has been a weak link since arrival. Burgess far better.

It's backed up by the stats. Had a MOTM performance at Derby and has been the better of the two CBs in most games. Constructive comment though.

Which is to say the he's still considerably better than any manager we've had since George Burley. Even Saint Mick.

Really can’t see how you’ve come to that conclusion. Just hasn’t worked for him here since he’s joined. Really don’t rate him - both in terms of performances and how negative he always comes across on the pitch - moaning, complaining, throwing himself to the ground.

Don’t you know our fans need a scapegoat each week!!! Greaves is a better defender than Burgess, however much I like Burg, our fans at times have rose tinted specs and forget past mistakes.

Greaves a calamity defender on 21:39 - Sep 20 with 608 views | jas0999 | Quite rightly, he will be banned. It was atrocious defending … again. Before we point to conditions, didn’t see Blackburn defenders hauling down our strikers. It was very poor. Need better than Greaves. Oh for Burgess! KM judgement has to be questioned.

Again however, Burgess wasn't better when he first came in, he got better If the red card doesn't happen today, no one would be moaning about greaves, he was solid up until that point. To many wanting players to fail because they lost a favourite imo, same reason why oshea still gets moaned about despite being one of the leagues best cbs.

Greaves a calamity defender on 22:15 - Sep 20 with 445 views | Nutkins_Return | He's just turn 25. BH es already better than Burgess but certainly doesn't have the maturity of Burgess yet. Burgess amhad an absolutely torrid time when he first joined. He was considered a poor buy by just as many fans (at £750k) as Greaves is now. Almost like CBs need a bit of time to form partnerships, mature and find there best form in a team. He's more than proven at this level. He is a championship team of the year player and was outstanding for Hull. A quality player in the making if not the complete article yet. I tell you what night help him.....a bit of support.

Hes had massive support. He keeps being the weak link. Keeps falling over rather than standing strong when it counts. Keeps being caught the wrong side. If he was 21 Id say keep developing. Be patient. He's not. Burgess is a better player all round. Kipre may well be and will now get the chance to prove it. [Post edited 20 Sep 23:17]

Right, it’s not under 9s football FFS, no one is actively booing him in the stands are they, they’re commenting on a message board. He needs to step up! Went for huge money had some PL experience and hasn't look assured stepping back down a division, to a level he should be excelling at. [Post edited 20 Sep 23:18]

I’m not sure better than other defenders here is a high watermark. The important point is he’s worse that Cameron, one cost £100k and peanuts in wages, the other lots of wages and a £15 million fee was it? Greaves clearly WAS a good player, but he’s been awful since he signed, he didn’t make the step up …, Cameron was MOTM against Man Utd, looked the one player that did actually step up, but McKenna didn’t fancy him. I strongly suspect at 26 he sees a player in Greaves he can develop, and Butgess is at his peak. That woeful decision making will be the end of McKenna, and not just here either. Burgess wasn’t just at his playing peak - he’s a leader, more so than Greaves ever will be…, a winner. McKennas fixation with players he wants to change. It’s pathological at this point. Why have the finished product when you can have something inferior, and show the world what a great coach you are, Except he’s not. The nodding dog impersonations from some fans have been pathetic for over 14 months now.

I don't think he has to be honest - a fairly vocal section of the fanbase didn't like him replacing Burgess (who had become a fan favourite) and have never given him a fair crack as a result. Even today in the stands people were moaning at him over absolutely nothing and blaming him for being the sole cause of our slow play, but were then completely silent about O'Shea dawdling on it for ages. Said it before, will probably say it many more times, if Burgess is as good as people wang on about, why is he only turning out for an average Championship side?

Burgess was very good when we went up and played well in the PL for a bad side. Swansea will be delighted to get his services. I think his age and lack of football last year probably had soemthing to do with his market. Under the radar player in my book. I just want Greaves to kick on but I can’t belive how much time he spends on the deck and he also has been caught out a good few times this year.

Greaves a calamity defender on 23:44 - Sep 20 with 97 views | Vaughan8 | Never thought he was better than Burgess from the moment he started playing. Burgess always looked more solid. However I understand Greaves potentially has a "higher ceiling" but he's not showing it at the moment. Kipre must be thinking he's got a chance to get in the team.
