Less than 2 weeks till Norwich..... 10:32 - Sep 22 with 4077 viewsB_Block_Massive

How we all feeling? Confident? Given their poor start (albeit the away form is better than their home) i feel if we get an early goal the floodgates could open like Sheff Utd.

Need a minimum of 7 points over next 3 games on 18:04 - Sep 22 with 997 viewsunstableblue

less than that and I’d start to question the automatic place

Season really needs to kick into gear

I would absolutely love it… if 3 of those points came against our rivals in a rip roaring derby win

That could really fire the team, fan base and season

Poll: Has this been a positive transfer window, and are Town stronger for it?

Town had 1 shot on target in the first two games. And bar sheff utd wed struggled to get goals. So whilst there were defensive errors, we had the 2nd best xga in the league our issue was not scoring enough.

Same v Blackburn really in the game that no longer exists.

Hirst and philogene score their goals. We most likely don't play such a highline as we were when greaves got sent off.

Lots of blame on defence this season so far. But apart from last week in all other games we didn't score enough of our chances.

Couldn't agree more -

Palmer has barely made a save all season, our defence whilst not perfect (it wont be in the Championship) is not our problem.

Honestly don't know. We're a better team than them, but we're a better team than Derby and by all accounts we can expect a similar approach from them which will make it really tough. As others have said we need an early couple of goals to open it up

Either way, nice as it would be to win of course, our season doesn't rest on this or at Carrie Road. If we go up without beating them like we did a couple of seasons ago I'd be delighted.

I have known grown men say they hate going to the Budgies game as it is too emotional and intense.
If you dont think that it is important then you should really rethink what you are here for.
Think positive.
They are playing badly.
We have the better team.
Lets beat the f....rs.

Totally this. There really is nothing to fear.

I'm with the OP... I'm feeling confident.
We have a nice slick surface at home to play our football on.. And we haven't lost in 23 games of Championship football at PR.

Form goes out of the window in derby matches.
So it'll be 11 vs 11... And we are just better than they are.

Barring any freakish incidents, like a dodgy red card. I can see us absolutely steam rolling them....
And I hope the current crop of players see it as a real chance to win over any doubters amongst the fan base.

I have never been more confident that we will comfortably beat them.

They setup to spoil and frustrate away from home which is pretty much our kryptonite. I never look forward to derbies but it is especially annoying to be a lot better than them and not win them.

I am not so sure they are good enough to do that at the moment, I watched some of the Coventry game, it was massive fluke to get any kind of result. They look genuinely awful, weak in CM and vulnerable down the wings.

Sargent obviously has the ability to stick one away if he gets a chance but this game should be coming at exactly the right time for us, especially after a couple more games under our belt.

No excuses!

Most of the new players wont be as sucked into the derby hullabaloo. Apart from Nunez!!!

3-0 Town.

I cannot fathom how any Town fan can be confident about that game given our record against them. They will up their level, we wont play to ours probably.

Just hope we have a settled team by then and hopefully have picked up a couple more wins just to have some feel good factor in the fanbase.

Probably be an underwhelming draw.

I understand the emotional pull that argument always has, but the fact that we are a completely different squad since we last played them, and so are they, absolutely blows it out of the water.

That feels like a good balance - most players largely seeing it as "just another game", but a handful bringing the extra spice.

Nunez, Hirst and O'Shea will being the fire on the pitch, backed up by Clarke and Burns in the dressing room
