You lot are funny, worrying about the efl decision. 17:18 - Sep 23 with 1331 viewsWallingford_Boy

Every football match since the beginning of time that was abandoned due to weather has been replayed.

Why would this be any different?

RIP Sir Bobby

Any long-standing Ipswich fan has an impending sense of doom since at least the ME era! 🤣

I thought like you a couple of days ago. But if it's such a straightforward decision, why are they taking so long about it?

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Maybe they had other meetings planned and can’t meet up to discuss until later in the week?

Calm, the supporters can't change the out come it will be re played,

If it's as obvious as you say what's to discuss?

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I'm perfectly calm thanks.
Why on earth would the clubs know but not release a statement?

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

perhaps agreeing the date of the replay is what causes delay?

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

OP: so why no decision? The EFL board will quite likely hand the points to Blackburn now.

Whilst I agree with you, surely there isn't any other viable options, why haven't they just announced it needs to be replayed...!

It took them 13 days to announce that the Leyton Orient vs Lincoln match was to be replayed having been abandoned in the 82nd minute. Whether the length of time to announce that was out of respect to the chap that passed away we'll never know. Stephen Martin didn't referee the rematch though.

Probably have administrative procedures to follow before announcing the decision - I wouldn’t be surprised if behind the scenes both clubs have been informed of the decision but if one club disagrees, the league are duty bound to hear their objections.

The impending sense of doom goes back way before the ME era. I can remember standing at the clock end at Highbury just before kick off in the 78 cup semi-final. The teams were read out and it was then announced to a chorus of boos that Clive (b@stard) Thomas would be the referee. Someone behind me shouted "that's us f'cked then".
