Large Away Allocations? 08:08 - Sep 26 with 1399 viewsSamuelowen88

Trying to organise an away day this season for a few people that aren't members, so would need tickets to get to general sale.

Any obvious ones? I guess would need to be somewhere with a large away allocation.

In a perfect world (due to location) would be central to UK.

Cheers

I'd assume the easiest with the ones further up North ala Preston (done) and Blackburn (oh wait)

Looking at the list now there’s only Sheffield Wednesday. Slight chance of Charlton but doubt it by then.

As mentioned the Blackburn game.

At a push possibly both Sheff U and Stoke.

Think Stoke away is only a few weeks after Christmas so maybe a few regulars who go away might give it a miss.

Swansea is a possibility (I think it went to general sale last time, that's how I probably managed to get a ticket) but that's hardly central to the UK.

The best options have already gone - Preston & Blackburn, unless you do the Blackburn reply midweek.

Not sure many others will get to general sale…. Middlesbrough perhaps.

Would have thought Middlesbrough and Hull would be good ones as both on a weeknight

Sheffield Wednesday, possibly Millwall.

Sheffield Wednesday if they are still in existence. We will probably outnumber the home fans. Blackburn mark 2

Sheff Weds probably, especially if their supporters are still urging away fans not to attend (which is fair enough). Hull on a Tuesday night might be a contender, but then again I'd have said Boro on a Friday would have, and Hul is closer.

Blackburn replay of course, unless they have a real hump with us and offer a the minimum 2000.

Maybe Leicester, as its a ground often frequented and just before xmas.

The main candidates are always Preston, Blackburn, Bristol City, Sheff Weds.

Also there tends to be quite a few returns available the week before a match if you're willing/able to take the risk.

Probably too short notice and not exactly central but it looks like a new section was opened up for Bristol on Tuesday. Plenty of tickets left in that block that are on general sale.

Just googled and found this. A little out of date.

Sheffield Wednesday, possibly Millwall.

Millwall is normally big but i think it's boxing day, so minimal trains.

I know that was then, but it could be again..
