Hats off to Keith Andrews on 21:20 - Sep 27 with 776 views | unstableblue | Everyone expected Brentford to flat line after Frank. Agree going to be such a tough premier league season, quality has gone up again Think Burnley won’t have enough, but chance of two other going down West Ham? Man U?!?!?

Last season was primed for a big club or two going down. Trouble is, it was us, Leics and Soton there and not Sunderland/Leeds (I won't include Burnley in that, yet).

Whoever it is will be established Premier League clubs with parachute payments so certainly would like to see Town go up at the first attempt as will only be tougher in the Championship next season.

Wolves looked nailed on for relegation for a while last season. Everton and West Ham started poorly too. The longer it went after Christmas there became no doubt who the relegated 3 were going to be. I think it will be interesting how it plays out this season but there is a long way to go as yet.

Obviously true. But whilst they did have bad starts like some have this time around. The likes of Sunderland and Leeds aren't at the moment at least keeping them company like us three did last season. Very early on of course. But I do think it'll be record breaking season required to stay up this year. Such a difference this season [Post edited 27 Sep 22:55]

Plenty on here discussing how we were awful in the Prem because Leeds/Burnley/Sunderland have started well. The bit being missed is we want them all to stay up, it they do, it weakens the Prem next season and makes it easier for us to stay up should we be promoted. But no, let’s moan about Leeds matching us for wins at home already. We want ALL of them to survive. [Post edited 28 Sep 0:41]

Potentially some big clubs coming down this year (n/t) on 09:08 - Sep 28 with 214 views | ITFC_Forever | Burnley (yo-yo), Wolves (been coming) and West Ham (bin fire) are the most likely at the moment. Hardly anyone to call a big club.

Potentially some big clubs coming down this year (n/t) on 09:11 - Sep 28 with 204 views | Herbivore | There's a long way to go. Sunderland have been riding their luck a fair bit, they are the third worst side in the league on xG difference (see below) despite having had a relatively kind start fixture wise but their goal has led a charmed life at times, some good goalkeeping and poor finishing has helped, things we often didn't experience ourselves last season. Whether that's sustainable over a whole season, we'll see. The points on the board give them a good chance of staying up but they're going to hit a horrible run of results at some point, possibly soon. Think it's a weaker league this year too, overall. Brentford, West Ham, and Wolves all lost key players that they've not properly replaced. Bournemouth lost a load of players too. Forest look weaker and have had a messy summer and start to the season. Villa likewise not looking great. Last season we'd have had to get 39 points and finish above the Europa League winners to have stayed up. I don't think it's going to be quite that difficult this time around. https://footystats.org/england/premier-league/xg
