I've 2 cats and 3 dogs. I love to see happy dogs either my own or others in the park. They're so loyal and full of character. Scotties love to play and have a sense of humour. The westie just wants to be with you. Cats are pointless in comparison. |  |

Both shit, which is unpleasant but cats somehow seem worse as you can't contain them - if you have a shingle drive cats will use it as a giant litter tray. We have a cat. On the plus side they practically take care of themselves (including cleaning). Minimal fuss and expense, won't try and hump your leg, don't have to take them for walks on rainy days and pick up their poo.
On the other hand she doesn't love us at all like a dog would, merely tolerates our presence in 'her' space.
