Today’s Lunch Sensation 14:42 - Oct 14 with 1053 views | Churchman | 1. Fresh good quality bread. Not Warburtons toastie but a loaf from the bakers. None of that brown rubbish either or that dreadful stuff filled with trill and birdseed. 2. Proper salted butter. Not that manufactured chemical ridden grease and earwax horror 3. Thinly sliced oak smoked ham. Two slices of. 4. Strong cheddar. Today, West Country strength 6. 5. Plain crisps. A layer. 6. A light layer of sandwich spread on the top slice. Crush the buttered + spread top slice on. Lightly crush with the palm of the hand and use a sharp knife to cut the sandwich. A taste sensation. You’ll thank me for it.
Today’s Lunch Sensation on 14:49 - Oct 14 with 1008 views | Cotty | If sandwich spread isn't manufactured chemical ridden grease and earwax horror, what is it? Missing some chutney me laddo. I'd probably pass on the crisps as well as the axle grease.
None of that is "homemade".... on 14:52 - Oct 14 with 993 views | Bloots | ....nor is it bought from an independent "farm shop" type establishment. It will therefore not be tolerated on here.

No idea. Came out of the supermarket. I’m hardly going to start cleaving lumps of Porky down the road! It’s ham ffs. As for sandwich spread, you lot need to broaden your minds. It’s even got your five a day in it (I assume the little orange and green bits are veg) The bread was from a bakery. It’s a good one too.

Goodness no. I like to support the economy! Give the hard working tax payer a living. The real reason is that I’ve never had home made bread that has been up to much. My sister used to make it and it had the texture of a breeze block. Day two, you need3d a chain saw to cut it. Mrs Cs efforts were better but despite lying through my teeth saying how nice it was (I’m not stupid) it really wasn’t. It’s up there with home made wine. Truly appalling stuff. We tried home made cider when we had no money. Blew up the gas man. I thought the green tinge was apples. So I filled god knows how many bottled from the plastic bin and didn’t think about it. Gas man checked the meter. He must have touched one and the whole lot went off. He came out covered in the stuff and a little shocked. He wasn’t happy about it, but hey ho, never mind. Never bothered with it again. [Post edited 14 Oct 16:38]

You should try it. It’s fabulous. Flavoursome, full of good things mmmmm. Great with most things, especially cheese but a spoonful straight from the jar? a treat!! Available in most Supermarkets. Edit: ingredients - Heinz sandwich spread contains vegetables (like cabbage, carrots, gherkins, and onions), rapeseed oil, vinegar, sugar, and modified starch. Other ingredients include egg yolks, salt, mustard, and various spices and thickeners like guar gum and xanthan gum. All good. [Post edited 14 Oct 20:59]
