Yes but for mature cheese it's Cornish Quartz.

Best Mature Cheddar - Which Report on 14:55 - Oct 17 with 726 views | The_Flashing_Smile | Davidstow would be my go to, the Vintage... but I've just discovered they have a 36 month Reserve which packs a punch too.

Yes, I think this is my choice too. The Lidl West Country is nice too, but go for the strength 6. They’re all pretty good tbh. Food of the gods. If you want to give it a bit of zing, toasted with a light sprinkle of Worcestershire sauce or Hendersons Relish. you are guaranteed lunchtime happiness.

Can we have some sort of ban on cheese related threads on weekdays before 5pm? I'm not going to be anywhere near a fridge for at least a couple of hours. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

You don't have to get it from Waitrose, it's available in all supermarkets. Unless you just wanted to show off about shopping in Waitrose, in which case fill your boots!

I like Davidstow but the fact its very easy obtainable in supermarkets would mark it down for me as you know full well they're being screwed on price, which must impact how they make it profitable. Ive always liked the Snowdonia cheeses, which are becoming more widely available but still seem happy to operate more independently.

No the Snowdonia one has hit its peak now on a slippery slope.

They also do a 60 month old one that's really nice. They had an online shop but it's now sadly closed.
