Hi, I’ve seen some comments that you played terribly and that your manager has one game left. I’m a Boro fan, and that was a very hard game last night — I was worried we were going to blow a 0–2 lead.
I can honestly see you being champions at the end of the season. We are massively overachieving, and you have class all over the pitch. Remember, your manager won Manager of the Month last week. Like us, you’ve had a taste of promotion and the Premier League and done yourselves proud.
We got promoted in 2015 and haven’t had a sniff since — and we spent fortunes! The Championship is ace, and you’ll be there at the business end of the season when the medals are given out.

Thank you - absolutely no chance McKenna is under that sort of pressure but the sentiment is right.
I agree that we will be fine and last night will be one of the harder games we will have all season. Expectations are sky high because of where we were last season and the money we have available but this side is very much a new work in progress (but frustrating that it looked like we’d started to click before the international break). A shame we weren’t able to get Hackney because he was the difference maker last night. |  | | |

I disagree with the opening post.
We won't be Champions this season.
We have a soft underbelly, lack aggression and any form of cohesion.
Our shape and organisation off the ball was horrendous last night and we were lucky to not lose by 3 or 4 goals.
We have to wisen up and quickly. We can't be so arrogant in the way we set up vs teams on the road. | | | |

Match day on here is becoming a joke tbh. It's like a safe space for fans who are absolute wet wipes (I am being polite) to spout their negative sh1t.
Thankfully 95% never set foot in Portman Rd - armchair experts (who will all have an excuse why they don't actually watch Towen)
In the stadium whilst there is some grumbling, 95% are fully behind the team and manager - and that is where it matters.

Genuinely closer to a season left barring disasters which is as much as 99% of managers ever get. Thought you guys deserved it, after first 10 minutes when neither side could even keep the ball in play I thought between 10-30 mins (the handball) we were looking like we were gradually getting on top but pushed up way too high leading to the couple of breaks and all those saves and ultimately the penalty miss (where I can only assume the ref was evening things up due to the handball as barely a tug on Leif) which seemed to knock the stuffing out of us apart from 10 mins around the goal we pulled back. Still, early doors and I’d have taken playoffs at start of season tbh, still would, good luck to boro. |  | | |

A lovely game for the neutral. Your lot looked up for it whilst we went through the motions. We still need to find an identity. We are a team of individuals right now. What your lot lacked in quality you made up for in effort.
We will learn from it? I still say we haven't played well yet this season and yes that includes a 5-0 win. As I have said many times... Take out jaden's 5 snipes and the 3 scored penalties then we don't score much. [Post edited 18 Oct 11:28]

I agree with you gdog. When you come on this forum after a loss, the set of posters who like a moan are posting. After a win more posters are here. Your team is bang on form and the passing was very good. The game management was solid too. Its squad depth that may cause you to stutter later. But you are going to be around the top. The game should have been a draw for me. But thats what happens when a bang in form team meet a team and manager still pushing for consistency. |  |

Their manager really did a great job in the build up to this game.
He maybe played us into false sense of security, they are better than us!
