Well, if loads of people are getting fed up, then maybe the OP has a point.
I have probably a good half dozen people on ignore. I don't want to be intolerant, but it stops me getting into arguments which is not why I want to be on this forum.
We can't choose fellow forum members like we can our friends, so I try to be as tolerant as I can, but constant trolling does ultimately get excessively dull. [Post edited 28 Oct 2025 20:04]

I’ve said it before, he’s a tough read, but there’s always that uncomfortable bit in what he says that has a ring of truth.
Haven’t seen his latest offering but I really don’t understand why people are going out of their way to get so worked up when there’s an ignore function readily available.
It’s not like he’s posting racist, bigoted pro-Farage rage bait, or the sneeringly sexist stuff a few of the pearl clutchers have been guilty of in the not-too-distant past….
He only really posts once per thread so the old excuse that ignore makes the forum unusable doesn’t really apply in this instance. |  |

I agree that many seem not to use the ignore function enough, but we don't necessarily come on here to read morose drivel on a constant basis, and generally, that's what DH writes. It's like they reach into the depths of hell and pull out the most depressing, darkest thoughts, then coat them in bitter tar and dispense into a forum post.
What for? Debate? I don't think so. Reaction? Probably more likely. Cry for help? If so, reach out and say so, whether on the forum or DM. There are plenty of people, me included that would engage in a kind, considerate way.
Like I've said, ignore is a great feature of this website, but if a growing number of people are getting upset, then perhaps Darkhorse has to look at what they are posting and try to engage in a more productive way. [Post edited 28 Oct 2025 20:28]

‘ bits of truth’ that are twisted into unreasonable attacks on the people who have rebuilt this club. And those little bits of truth are overwhelmed by the quantity of inaccuracies and baseless claims.
I have to strongly disagree with your comment that their comments are not bigoted (in its true meaning - although often connected with racist or sexist comments, it applies more broadly).
Bigoted describes someone who has strong, unreasonable prejudices and an unwillingness to accept different beliefs or opinions. A bigoted person holds unfair and biased views, often based on a refusal to consider evidence that contradicts them
With their early posts I often corrected the false claims, and tried to engage them in debate. I never received any replies, or any attempt to justify the (now often repeated) falsehoods. | | | |

Yep, agreed. It’s just a tad relentless and incredibly repetitive. There are some nuggets of truth in the rants though. Paragraphs would also be welcomed. | |

The two things aren’t mutually exclusive.
If said poster is looking for reaction, I guess they’d interact with the responses, but they don’t.
It’s pretty harmless in the great scheme of things, despite the pile-on and I seriously doubt he’s going to single-handedly cause KM to leave, MA to chuck his toys about, the owners to rethink their investment strategy or any TWTD poster to actually descend into depression over it…
It’s just people getting tribal and collectively pushing Phil towards a clean kill to celebrate for a couple of minutes… | |

That's a fair point. It's a balance, at the end of the day. I use ignore to filter out the people who make my experience on this brilliant forum tiresome.
But also, it is fair to call people out if, over and over, they rile people up and get them angry, without ever engaging in positive discussion, or having a side of them that is pleasant and conversational.
I struggle to think of any comments that DH makes which have encouraged engaging, positive, open discussion since they have been on here.
Feel free to prove me wrong. But the overall vibe is pretty negative, so I don't blame others for saying they've had enough. [Post edited 28 Oct 2025 21:48]
