Disagree, the points he make have validity whether we agree or disagree. Opinions make forums. Though on the basis we are well aware of his opinions, maybe he could tackle a broader range of subject matter rather than the narrow McK, Ashton, finances, sucess criteria angles. Cheese preferences? battenberg ? maybe

I need to see evidence of this abuse that is offending some of our fans on here. I mean saying he's overspent and left us in a $200M mess or whatever opinions the poster has of the situation, is hardly abuse is it.

I don't read all of it though, so maybe I missed something that was said.

He's a CEO of a top football club in England, I'd think he was more concerned about the American ownership think of his work that Darkhorse from TWTD. If some of our fans on here are offended by someone criticizing the CEO and Coach that that's on them. Just ignore him, literally and on the forum it's really very simple.

Darkhorse is boring, Uninformative, zero objectivity, abusive towards players and staff, revels when we lose, makes stuff up, distorts, filled with repetitive negativity on all things ITFC.

If there is a reason why he comes on here to dispense his all seeing ‘wisdom’ it’s lost on me. Beyond deliberate trolling and wind up of course. Or maybe he’s ill?

The argument that there are grains of truth in what he says doesn’t stand up for me. I’m sure there are grains of truth in what the likes Trump and Farage say - it’s how social and mainstream media often works, but it doesn’t make it right.

The forum is not mine. The administrators decide what is acceptable and what is not - and a fine job they make of it too. The rules are theirs - but if it was my decision, after a warning it’d be ban time.

I put them on ignore ages ago as they are a tedious bore/troll.

That said, you can't ban someone just gor having a dissenting view, no matter how tedious that view may be. So yeah, just stick them on ignore and be happier.

I’ve better things to do than depress myself rereading his nonsense so if you prefers the term limitless criticism, that’s fine by me and I’ll stand corrected - until he next posts.

If we are going to accuse someone of actually abusing players and staff for a reason to ban them from a forum people should at least back it up tbh.

If its endless negativity and criticism, that might just be his opinion, either way you can just ignore it or better yet, press the button and you don't even have to read it.

Well, we can. If that person is causing people to turn away then it's an issue. The majority of people that read the forum don't log in so they can't put someone on ignore. Also everything that gets said on here can end up on google searches. It's an issue so where do we draw the line?

If you liked my post, please take the time to upvote it. It's very much appreciated.

I told you, I’ve better things to do.

Yes the there is the ignore button, but that only works for infrequent posters like that Elephant.

As it goes, describing Ashton as like Frank Spencer and David Brent having a love child as he’s done in the replacement manager thread I’ve just seen is not very nice or something he’d say to Ashton’s face.

Endless negativity is beyond criticism when that’s all there is.

And used to seed AI bots, and therefore distort the results people see when asking about the club, manager & CEO.

And ffs, I don't think anyone can deny that he manages to suck the life out of the forum at times. Witness this thread.

Fishers got banned twice for posting endless anti Lambert views and then anti Cook views. Now those views are pretty mainstream.

I don't agree with what Darkhorse is posting and I pretty much ignore his stuff but we can't have posters being banned for having a negative view on the management of the club.

It still says Independent Ipswich Town above the TWTD logo.

Thing is there's some truths in what he writes.

Some not so much too

Whilst he may get on some people's nerves. There's also the opposite side of posts like his where that individual poster posts noting but a stream of how amazing the club is. The manager etc etc. No matter what goes on. Now granted to some that's brilliant but likewise it's also painful viewing.

But gav is right sometimes it can cross a line.. I know to well.
But I dont think he's close to it imo.

This is just my opinion, but it would be ridiculous to ban someone on an independent ITFC forum for posting a negative view of the Manager/Coach/Ownership/Players any of the above. Unless it gets to the point of being personal but it appears he is just upsetting the masses with folks that don't agree with him?

There's loads who are overly positive after a terrible performance as well, where would it end?

The fact so many people are apparently voting for it is worrying by itself.

I am sure some people don't want to read the same endless repetitive political threads all day and maybe now chose not to, it's a slippery slope really Gavlar!

Many people say stuff that is at least as abusive about the likes of Marcus Evans and Paul Lambert.

Is it more of a problem when it relates to McKenna or Ashton because they are current employees of the club, or because you don't agree with it, or, as your post indicates, simply because it's abuse?

Personally I think there is an inclination on here to assess the performance of the incumbent regime in too positive a light, and past regimes in too negative a light. But I appreciate that others will have strong views that differ from that, and will express them forcefully.

Darkhorse is an extreme user, granted, but even opinions which differ markedly from the consensus should be allowed, in my view. And if straightforward name-calling and/or singling people out for criticism is to be subject to zero tolerance, the OP would seem not to have got that memo.

Wow quite the leap there Churchman and accusation of me trolling, what is that about?

"I am not going to waste my time providing you examples"

Churchman you "PROVIDE examples".

I don't dislike you at all but you seem to be very upset if anyone is critical of ITFC sometimes. I am not even doing that on this thread btw, I am telling you why I don't think a about a poster shouldn't be banned for having an opinion.

Also, yes, JasonDozzell, NthQldITFC and others do it quite a lot. Off the top of my head, one of them said how amazing we had been at HT against Bristol the other week. We weren't.

I am not a negative person, I am always honest honest how I feel about the current state of play for my sports teams, sorry if it doesn't always fit your narrative.
